Manchester United Enters The Race To Sign Arsenal, Chelsea And Tottenham Target

According to the latest reports, English Premier League giants Manchester United have been now added to the race to sign AS Roma’s star forward Cengiz Under in the January transfer window before it ends. The young forward could add some incredible strength to Manchester United’s attacking department.

But the Red Devils will face a massive task in order to bring Cengiz to Old Trafford. There are plenty of continental superpowers eager to sign up the talented star. He has been really impressing everyone with his recent performances. The list of his admirers keeps on increasing.

The Story of This Attacking Player Wanted By Multiple Clubs Including Manchester United

There has been a complete change of feelings at Manchester United ever since new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken over the reins at the club. The Norwegian took over from Jose Mourinho who left the club in a very sad state of affairs. The ‘Special One’ had won the Europa League and the League Cup with United.

However, he had a disastrous start to the 2018/19 season. The worse part about it was that United wasn’t playing the usual attacking football that we have seen from them on such a regular basis over the past few decades.

The results weren’t really following. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool hammered the final nail in Mourinho’s coffin as manager of Manchester United in a humiliating 3-1 defeat at Anfield earlier in December. After sacking and parting ways with Manchester United, the Portuguese boss was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The turnaround has been spectacular.

The 45-year-old Manchester United legend returned to the club as a manager. He was handed the job until the end of the season. The ex-star striker has had a 100 percent win record after eight games in charge of the club.

Out of those eight wins, two of them have been against the top six as Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 1-0 defeat at Wembley and Arsenal were recently dumped out of the FA Cup fourth round in a 3-1 loss at the Emirates Stadium. These were big results for the Red Devils.

Which Premier League Side Will Actually End Up Signing This Star?

These impressive results have thoroughly inspired the club and United are now in the fight to finish in the top four by the end of the season. Something that seemed unachievable when Mourinho was at the helm. With the club grinding out positive results and playing some lovely attacking football as the players are thriving, Solskjaer is slowly winning the faith of the United faithful.

This could mean that the Manchester United transfer board could also back Solskjaer’s transfer targets. One of them is AS Roma’s midfield superstar Cengiz Under.

Cengiz is an attacking midfielder who can play anywhere in the midfield number 10 or on the flanks. He can maybe even be deployed as a second striker. The 21-year-old Cengiz has already scored six times this season. He already got five assists under his belt attracting interest from several European giants.

Premier League rivals Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and even Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are keen on the Turkish international’s signature. This will provide Manchester United with stiff competition. However, the interested parties will have to match AS Roma’s valuation of £44m for Cengiz. That is if they are to snatch him from the Italian capital.
