Forget One Loss, Manchester United Now Monitoring The Situation Of This Young Star

Latest On The Transfer Rumour-

The summer transfer window is going to be one busy one for Manchester United and their scouts are already have started working. Portuguese wonder kid, Joao Felix is under the radar of The Red Devils since August. The 19 year old has burst into form this season scoring six in 12 appearances in the league and eight all total. He also became the youngest player to score in Lisbon Derby earlier this campaign. A host of clubs seem to be interested in acquiring the services of the player but ESPN reports that United are closest to it.

The Portuguese starlet certainly impressed, scoring and contributing an assist which made big guns in Europe turn their eyes towards him. Along with United, big guns of Europe like Juventus, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are also looking an eye for him. Dortmund have a serious fascination of youths over the years with the likes of Robert Lewandoski, Marco Reus and Mario Gotze graduating out the ranks of Dortmund’s prime years to present day Jadon Sancho and Ousmane Dembele. Bayern Munich will also have to look elsewhere if they fail to obtain Hudson Odoi’s services. Atletico might be looking to solve their striker problem permanently. Juventus might look to boost their bench strength and AC Milan will be looking to revamp their form in Europe next season.

Felix has a €60m release clause in his contract that should leave Benfica feeling a bit more secure where the player’s future is concerned. Though he originally started as a midfielder, Felix has been playing as a striker lately and is reaping the rewards. He scored in the 86th minute of the clash to secure a 1-1 draw for the Encarnados against Sporting CP this weekend, coming off the bench. United are reported to have sent a scout to Benfica’s match against Sporting over the weekend, and are believed to have had an eye on Felix as far back as March.

What Next Post The PSG Loss-

The Manchester based side suffered a couple of major injury blows, with the likes of Lingard and Martial going off due to problems. They will be facing Liverpool at the weekend and will want to get back to winning ways, as they push for a top four finish in the Premier League.

Solskjaer will have his sights on retaining a spot in the Champions League, after his team has really performed well so far and are unbeaten in the top flight of English football. They have just suffered one defeat, which was against PSG and one draw against Burnley so far. The rest of the games they have been winning more or less comfortably and have some big games lined up in February.

If the team is able to get through them with more or less positive results, the Norwegian might be handed the mantle of becoming the next United boss on a rather permanent basis. However, the road to that successful summit will be much tougher than what it has been so far and whether he is able with the pressure or not, only time will tell.
