Eden Hazard’s Former Manager Has A Message For The Chelsea Star

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that Blues talisman Eden Hazard has the ability and the talent to succeed at Real Madrid if he ever does make the move. The Belgian superstar has been heavily linked with a move to the La Liga over the recent past and the Portuguese boss believes that Hazard could certainly boost the under-fire Real Madrid side.

The whole world was left in shock when Cristiano Ronaldo decided to make the move from Real Madrid to Serie A giants Juventus in the summer of 2018. The 34-year-old star attacker spent nine seasons at the Spanish capital and left as the clubs all-time top goalscorer netting 450 times for the Los Blancos. Ever since Ronaldo’s departure, Real Madrid has failed to fill in the void or the goals that the Portuguese ace provided on a regular basis. There are very few players who can fill in the boots of Ronaldo and there are still a few candidates to do so in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has always flirted with Real Madrid claiming that a move to the Santiago Bernabeu would be a dream come true and the Los Blancos have also made it public of their interest in the winger. The Blues faithful hold their breath during every transfer window as Hazard is constantly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are currently facing a tough battle to finish in the top 4 in order to play Champions League football next season.  The West London club also lost to Premier League champions Manchester City in the League Cup final in the penalty shootout, and the lack of trophies could lead to Hazard moving away from Chelsea in the next transfer window.

Current Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri stated that Hazard is free to leave Chelsea if his heart is set on a move to Real Madrid as the Belgian is stalling on a new contract extension with his current deal expiring in June 2020. However, even ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that Hazard could be a perfect fit for Real Madrid because he has the talent and the personality to play for the European giants.

Hazard won the Premier League with Jose Mourinho as manager back in 2013 as well as the League Cup and has maintained his high level of footballing ever since. Mourinho, who is currently working as a television pundit after being sacked by Manchester United earlier in December spoke to Sports streaming service DAZN Espana and said, “Does he have the talent to play for Real Madrid? He does. Does he have the personality to put on a ‘super-heavy’ shirt and play in front of the fans at the Bernabeu? Yes, he has the personality. Regarding Eden’s ambitions … be it playing for Chelsea his whole life or playing for a giant like Real Madrid, I can not say, because I have not spoken to him for a long time.”

Knowing Mourinho, he could possibly take up the job at Real Madrid and is probably luring Hazard to the Bernabeu for a re-union.
