Match Preview: Chelsea Vs Wolves, Blues’ Fan Favourite Could Be Starting On The Bench?

Chelsea will face Wolverhampton Wanders at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League match on Sunday. Chelsea are currently situated at the sixth place in the League Table of the Premier League. The Blues are really trying hard to make the top four possible in this week. Their two rivals, Arsenal and Manchester United will play against each other in the other match of the Premier League on Sunday. So, there is a chance that both sides may lose points in that match. So, Maurizio Sarri’s side will be upbeat to win the match against Wolves to go to the top four of the Premier League.

Team News :

Chelsea :

The Blues are not having any major injury problems at this moment. The players are ready to give their all in the field. However, the Blues were beaten by Wolves in the away match with a margin of 2-0. Wolves are currently one of the best sides outside the top six of the Premier League. So, there is no point of taking them lightly in this match.

After a bad patch, the Blues have started to play good football after the game against Manchester City. They have won all the matches since the tie breaker defeat against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final match. Chelsea are now looking like a serious contender for the top four in this season.

Chelsea have won the first leg match against Dynamo Kiev on Thursday at Stamford Bridge with a margin of 3-0. They almost confirmed their place in the quarter final of Europa League. So, they might play their second string side in the midweek as their focus will be on Premier League now. Chelsea are not facing any club in the top six in March. So, it is very much possible that they will like to get the full points out of those matches in March to stay ahead of their rivals.

The likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Eden Hazard will be back in the starting lineup of the Blues after being rested in the Europa League match. Antonio Rudiger will also come back in the starting lineup of the Blues after getting the much needed break in the Europa League match. Callum Hudson-Odoi will be on the bench as Pedro will be playing from the right wing in this match for the Blues.

Wolves :

Wolves also rested many of their players in the match against Cardiff City FC. Those players will come back in the starting lineup of Wolves in the match against Chelsea. Rui Patricio will be back under the bars for the away side. Two wing backs of Wolves, Jonny Otto and Matt Doherty are also likely to be back in the first team. Roman Saiss will replace Ryan Benett in the defense as Benett is suspended for two more matches.
