Arsenal Boss Gives Final Verdict On Star Saying, “He Is Ready To Start”

According to Unai Emery, Arsenal star Denis Suarez, who is currently on loan from Barcelona, is now prepared to make an impression for the Gunners in the starting eleven. Suarez has still not managed to break into the starting eleven despite arriving at Arsenal back in the January transfer window but his manager now believes the midfielder is ready.

Since Unai Emery took charge of the Arsenal football club back in the summer of 2018, he has done quite an impressive job by replacing the legendary Arsene Wenger. The 69-year-old was in charge of Arsenal for 22 long years and won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups during his reign. Wenger got Arsenal competing once again and his brand of football was much appreciated by the Arsenal faithful in his prime. However, towards the latter part of Wenger’s career, his tactics were being outdated and outwitted by the younger generation of managers and even the Arsenal fans began to feel toxic with Wenger in charge. The north London club were crying out for a new manager and their prayers were answered.

After leaving Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, Emery arrived at Arsenal and has implemented his style of football into the club with assertiveness. Arsenal went on an incredible 22 game unbeaten streak at the start of the season and he has also guided Arsenal to fifth place in the league table with a game in hand that could take the Gunners into 4th. A Champions League berth looks very much on the cards for Arsenal and Emery has also taken the club into the quarterfinals of the Europa League, where they will face a much anticipated two-legged tie against Serie A giants Napoli in the coming weeks.

Almost every summer signing that Arsenal made during the transfer window has gone on to make a big impression at the club and Emery is reaping benefits from his players. The 47-year-old has also made bold decisions as Jack Wilshere left the club last summer and Emery has decided that even Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey will not be a part of his plans for the future and he will leave at the end of the season.

Arsenal managed to make only one signing in the January transfer window and that too was on loan because of the lack of funds. Denis Suarez arrived from Spanish side Barcelona but 25-year-old has not been able to make a big impact in England so far. All of Suarez’ appearances have come off the bench and he is yet to make a competitive start for his new club. But finally, after the international break, Emery has hinted that Suarez could be ready for a first team start.

Last week before Arsenal’s encounter against Newcastle United, Emery spoke to reporters and said, “He is OK to start in the first XI to give us this impact. We are going to need everybody and every player for the next matches. We decided to go away to train for four days and play a match in Dubai. But it’s the same idea, the same spirit. It is normal. Now we have a lot of player’s ready, with a big mentality and with a big performance to play and help us.”

A win for Arsenal could move them into 4th place and strengthen their grip on trying to obtain a Champions League spot.
