According to the latest reports, the Premier League trio of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are all interested in the signing of Ajax star winger Hakim Ziyech in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 26-year-old Ziyech has been sensational for the Dutch side and has played a crucial part in taking his team to the semifinals of the Champions League.
Liverpool sit at the top of the Premier League table at the moment but Jurgen Klopp still wants to bolster his squad in order to keep challenging Manchester City on a season by season basis. The Reds have been missing a link between midfield and forwards to supply those through passes and that could cruelly cost the Merseyside club the Premiership. Klopp will head into the summer transfer window with a mindset to bolster his attacking department even further with the addition of a quality play-maker. There are a few top players are catching heavy interest from several top European clubs across the continent and Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech is certainly one of them.
Ziyech has been absolutely brilliant for Ajax this season as he has scored 15 goals and notched up 12 assists as well in the Eredivisie, helping his side to the top of the Dutch League. Ajax are now three points ahead of title rivals PSV Eindhoven and Ziyech has played a major part in that success this season. With only three games remaining in the Eredivisie, Ziyech has the chance of aiding Ajax to win the title, but that’s not the only competition that he is excelling in.
The 26-year-old Moroccan has been instrumental in attack for Ajax in the Champions League as well and has scored four times to help them reach the semifinals of the elite tournament. Ziyech netted an imperious equalizer against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Round of 16 tie which boosted his team’s morale for the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu. Ajax also edged past Serie A champions Juventus in the quarter-finals stage and Ajax will now face Tottenham Hotspur in a bid to make it to the finals of the Champions League.
Spurs will get a good look at Ziyech over two legs in the semifinals as Mauricio Pochettino is also targeting a move for the talented attacker. The north London side will also have competition from their local rivals as Unai Emery’s Arsenal also want a piece of the hotshot. But Arsenal will not be able to compete at the level of others because of their summer transfer budget.

Ziyech is tied down with Ajax until the summer of 2021 and with two more years left on his contract to expire, he is valued at the price of £25m. However, that would just be a bid to start off at and the deal could really take much more than just that, with the English giants willing to pay.
Even Manchester United are wanting to rebuild under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and if they do not qualify for the Champions League, the Norwegian will splash transfer funds in order to lure top players to Old Trafford.
