According to the latest reports, Liverpool’s on loan goalkeeper Loris Karius and midfielder Allan may not be required or called back at Anfield in the future. The Premier League giants already have a surplus of requirements and may decide to sell the two on loan players in order to generate transfer funds in the summer transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool currently sit at the summit of the Premier League table and are in the hunt to end their 29-year wait for a Premier League title. The Reds sit two points ahead of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who still have a game in hand but Liverpool have done exceedingly well to remain in contention for the title race for as long as they have so far. Last season, Guardiola’s Manchester City stormed their way to the title, breaking plenty of records in the process and amassing a staggering 100 points. But Liverpool are making sure they make life hard for the Manchester giants this term as they push their title contenders to the limit.
Liverpool have also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and face a mouthwatering two-legged tie against La Liga giants Barcelona. Last season’s finalists will hope to make it two in a row and this time maybe avoid heartbreak in the final of the Champions League. The Merseyside outfit lost 3-1 against La Liga side Real Madrid in last season’s Champions League final and the highlight of the game was two costly errors by Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius. The German shot stopper made two silly mistakes in the final which literally handed the title to Los Blancos.
A few months later, Karius was loaned out to Turkish club Besiktas and Liverpool splashed £60m to secure the services of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker. But Karius’ time has been tricky and overall he has built his game at Besiktas. Besiktas have the option to cut Karius’ two-year loan spell short this summer but if they qualify for the Champions League the 25-year-old will likely remain at the Turkish club. It’s unlikely that Karius will be able to outplace Alisson, who has been excellent for Liverpool between the posts this season. The 26-year-old Alisson was handed the Number 1 jersey for Liverpool for next season, but it was donned by Karius and that means that the German will probably be sold or kept on loan for next season.

Another player who is likely not to join Liverpool in the summer is Allan as the Brazilian midfielder is enjoying a loan spell in his native with Fluminense. 22-year-old is enjoying his football at the moment, having joined the club in February 2019. It’s unlikely that Allan will even get a role on the bench at Liverpool’s first team squad with the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Fabinho, James Milner and even Xherdan Shaqiri ahead of the pecking order. If Allan continues to improve, Klopp may look to sell him in the summer and raise funds to purchase players that could play a vital role for his team next season.
