Pundit Makes Huge Claim About Eden Hazard’s Move To Real Madrid

According to the latest reports, football Pundit and La Liga insider Sid Lowe stated that Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has done the right thing by not handing in his transfer request to join Real Madrid. Despite interest from Los Blancos, Hazard has revealed that it is his dream to play for Real Madrid but he has never stated that he wants to leave Chelsea.

Ever since Maurizio Sarri arrived at the helm as Chelsea manager back in the summer of 2018, he has done quite an admirable job by replacing his fellow Italian compatriot Antonio Conte at the helm. The former Napoli master tactician received plenty of praise and plaudits from fans and pundits across the globe for instilling an effective and attractive brand of football into the Premier League. Sarri led Chelsea to the League Cup final but lost out to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in penalty shootouts. Chelsea are also in the semi-finals of the Europa League at the moment and look like serious contenders to go on and win the continental trophy. However, Chelsea are in fourth place in the Premier League table and face a tricky final three games to remain inside the top four and qualify for a Champions League spot for next season.

If Chelsea fail to qualify for the Champions League, it will be extremely difficult for them to keep hold of star play-maker Eden Hazard in the summer transfer window amid interest from Real Madrid. There has been long term admiration from the La Liga giants for the Belgian winger who is stalling a contract extension with the West London club. It’s no secret that Hazard wants to join Real Madrid and play under Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu. Even the La Liga side are keen on signing a big name player as they struggle to bring back the glory days after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus last summer.

Hazard has once again been the talisman for Chelsea this season as he has netted 19 times for the Blues this season and notched up 13 assists as well. The 28-year-old winger has proved time and again that he can be the man for the big occasions but he has gone about his contract situation in a very professional manner. Hazard has not handed in his transfer request and he is also playing at the top level for Chelsea.

While speaking to ESPN, La Liga insider Sid Lowe has revealed that Real Madrid now hold the advantage in the situation to sign Hazard this summer because of his contract situation, “The nature of his contract – the fact that he is coming into the final year of it – puts a lot of power in his hands and in Real Madrid’s hands, it means that they have a better and stronger position. They can go now and say “well, look, you can lose him for nothing, or you can sit down, you can take a worthwhile amount for him. How far Chelsea will go down this route, I don’t know”
