According to the latest reports, Premier League club Chelsea are looking to offer their teenage sensation Callum Hudson-Odoi a staggering new deal which would see him earn an astonishing £100,000-a-week. The teenager is close to signing a new deal with the Blues which will tie him down at Stamford Bridge for five years, as he has just 18 months left on his contract to keep him away from other suitors. He was quite impressive in the previous campaign before picking up an injury that ended his season early and the west London outfit does not wish to lose him.
Maurizio Sarri has done quite an incredible job ever since taking charge of the club back in the summer of 2018 and succeeding his fellow Italian compatriot Antonio Conte. The 60-year-old former Napoli master tactician instilled a very attacking and attractive philosophy into the club, which was admired and praised by plenty of fans and pundits across the world. Sarri guided Chelsea to the final of the League Cup but eventually lost out to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the penalty shootout. The West London club also qualified for the Champions League as Sarri helped Chelsea finish inside the top four of the Premier League in his debut season in the English top flight.
Sarri also received some criticism midway through the season because of his stubbornness to his philosophy and even the Chelsea faithful were starting to get annoyed. The Blues also managed to reach the final of the Europa League and won the continental competition after defeating their local London rivals Arsenal 4-1. But with the transfer ban looming, Chelsea will not be able to sign players over the two transfer windows.
Even club talisman Eden Hazard has confirmed that he will be leaving the English capital and the 28-year-old look set to join La Liga giants Real Madrid. Los Blancos are prepared to snap up the Belgian and Chelsea need to find a suitable replacement. Callum Hudson-Odoi looks like the man who is set to fill in the boots for Hazard after his impressive showing in the second half of the season. The 18-year-old was subject to interest from several top clubs in Europe, including Bayern Munich and Manchester United, as well. The German champions saw their offer of £35m rejected by Chelsea and they still have an interest in the star winger.

Hudson-Odoi also became the youngest player to debut in a competitive game for England earlier in March and has shown that he has the ability to play regularly and at the top level as well. The Englishman looked slightly frustrated under manager Maurizio Sarri when he wasn’t given enough game time.
The young talented star scored four times in the Europa League for Chelsea and played quite an integral part for the Blues to win the tournament. There has to be something special that Chelsea see in Hudson-Odoi to keep hold of their brightest academy prospects. Signing a new deal will surely fend off any competitors in the form of Manchester United and Bayern Munich as well in the summer.
