According to the latest reports, Belgian superstars Kevin De Bruyne and Dries Mertens have joked about their national team-mate Eden Hazard and his current situation which rumors to have a move to Real Madrid in the near future. The Blues talisman has confirmed that he will leave the Stamford Bridge unit this summer and Los Blancos looks like the most favored destination for the 28-year-old.
Ever since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to Juventus in last season’s summer transfer window in a £100m move, Los Blancos has struggled to cope with the void he left behind. The 34-year-old Portuguese talisman scored 450 goals across nine seasons for Real Madrid and left as the club’s all-time top goalscorer. Ronaldo helped Real Madrid win three consecutive Champions League tournaments in three seasons and the Spanish giants have gone downhill since he moved away from the club. There are only a few players in the world that can fit in for Ronaldo and Eden Hazard has been proving his worth and maybe it could be the time that he actually takes his game to the next level if he joins Real Madrid.
Maurizio Sarri has enjoyed quite a fruitful season with Chelsea this season as he helped the club finish in fourth place in the Premier League table. The 60-year-old former Napoli master tactician instilled a very attractive and impressive brand of football into England. Sarri led the West London club to the League Cup but eventually lost out to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the final of the penalty shootout. However, Chelsea did manage to win silverware this season as they secured the Europa League and tasted success on the continental stage.
However, the Blues will be gutted to learn that they will be losing star playmaker Eden Hazard in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 28-year-old arrived at Chelsea back in the summer of 2012 from Ligue 1 side Lille and went on to win two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one Europa League, and one League Cup during his seven-year spell with the Premier League club. But after the Europa League triumph in the summer, Hazard confirmed that he will be leaving Chelsea and Real Madrid to look like the most likely candidates to sign him.
Although no deal has been confirmed by the two clubs, an announcement seems on the way and Hazard’s national teammates have joked about their captain’s possible next destination. Belgian midfield stars Dries Mertens and Kevin De Bruyne were in a video with each other on their Instagram live feed when a fan asked about the whereabouts of Eden Hazard. Manchester City winger Kevin De Bruyne replied and said ‘In Madrid, for sure.’
He’s been honest in admitting his dreams to play in Madrid.
He’s been respectful when asked about it EVERY WEEK.
He‘s carried this squad for years.
We’ve had some of his best years.
For me, Hazard is a Chelsea legend 💙
Thanks for the memories. Now we move on #UTC pic.twitter.com/zr1DoWTlsc

Hazard was instrumental for Chelsea when they won the Europa League final against local London rivals Arsenal and immediately after the game the 28-year-old winger said, ‘I think it is goodbye but you never know, my dream was to play in the Premier League and I did this for seven years, but now might be time for a new challenge.’
