It has been confirmed that Premier League giants Manchester United are quite confident that their young winger Tahith Chong will snub interest from Juventus and sign a new deal with his current club. The player who has failed to make a major impact so far at Old Trafford will be offered a new deal, with the club’s management hoping that he signs a contract extension.

The 19-year-old superstar will be out of contract at the end of the season, with claims suggesting that Juve are ready to swoop on him. They are keen on adding another free-transfer to their lengthy list of signings, as they look to win the Champions League title. The club from Italy has been enjoying domestic success for so long but has struggled to dominate Europe.

According to a recent report, ​the Red Devils have already offered Chong a major wage boost. He is expected to make somewhere close to the £25,000-a-week mark. However, the Manchester-based side still needs to convince the Dutchman that remaining at the Theatre of Dreams would be the best choice for his career.

Despite the strong interest from the Serie A champions, club officials are said to be quite confident that they will be able to do so. The fact that he has been included in the playing eleven at times this season already, suggests that he is part of their long-term plans for the future.

Chong has made a total of four appearances so far this term for United and is expected to earn plenty of more opportunities in the Europa League and domestic cups. He will be hoping to make a name for himself under Solskjaer so that he is given more game-time in the seasons to come.
