Some of the fan favourites like Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe have been missing from the ring for quite a while now. If you were wondering when will they return to the ring again, then Fightful Select has got you covered. The website recently gave an injury update on the superstars like Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, EC3 and Jinder Mahal.
Samoa Joe last wrestled in the King of the Ring semi-finals in a triple threat match against Baron Corbin and Ricochet. After losing the match, he went off the programming to nurse his finger injury. The Submission Machine recently made his comeback to the WWE TV as the colour commentator on Raw alongside Vic Joseph and Jerry Lawler. He has been getting a lot of praise from the fans for his commentary work as he always has something unique to provide to the audience. He was the saving grace on Raw as Vic Joseph is green and is still learning and Jerry Lawler is out of touch.
However, it is just a part-time gig for him as Samoa Joe will return to wrestling as soon as his injury is healed. As of now, he will be evaluated on December 30, but a specific return date has thus far not been listed.
EC3 was sidelined after suffering a concussion. Most of the fans would not know about that because he was never really used in the WWE programming since making a move to the main roster. He was last seen being involved in the 24/7 championship shenanigans alongside R-Truth and Drake Maverick over the summer. Since then, he has been absent from the TV. Regarding his concussion, it seems worse than first feared. There is no specific return date set for him as well, however, he is beginning to recover.
Ever since returning to WWE as part of the NXT, EC3 has found it hard to be a regular top star in the company. NXT didn’t suit his style of wrestling as his gimmick is more character-driven. Raw is perfect for him but looks like he has to wait for a while to get his moment in the sun.
Jinder Mahal was sidelined from an injury in June this year. It was then revealed that he would return in January 2020. Later reports surfaced that he was supposed to return in November this year, however, he continued to remain in the sideline. There is no further update on his status yet, but with Royal Rumble around the corner, we could see Former WWE champion return at the pay-per-view.
Jeff Hardy’s issues with the law are no secret. Originally he was out of the WWE programming in April this year due to knee injury. He was the SmackDown tag team champion at the time with his brother Matt Hardy, but due to the injury, they were forced to vacate the title. Later, along with nursing his knee injury, he was dealing with mental issues which caused him problems with the law on a couple of occasions.
WWE is helping Jeff in getting back to wrestling and Jeff too is trying hard to get back to his old self. He is medically cleared to wrestle again, but due to his mental health, WWE is remaining patient with him. Hopefully, we will see Hardy boys in action soon.
Nevertheless, here is Daniel Bryan who returned as Orange Cassidy at TLC on Sunday:
