The manager of the Blues, Frank Lampard came into the match with a 3-4-2-1 formation. Kepa Arrizabalaga was as usual under the bars for the Blues. Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rudiger were deployed as three centre backs. Emerson Palmieri and Cesar Azpilicueta were playing as two wingbacks. After the inclusion of Jorginho, Chelsea tried to equalise the scoreline with the much-needed impetus. However, the first half ended with a scoreline of 1-0 in favour of the Gunners.
In the second half, Chelsea came back stronger. They were pushing forward more and more. Frank Lampard brought in Lamptey in place of Tomori. Callum Hudson Odoi was brought in place of Mateo Kovacic. These two changes worked really well for the Blues. However, the equaliser of the Blues came with a mistake of Bernd Leno.
He misjudged the flight of the ball from a freekick of Mason Mount. Jorginho placed the ball perfectly into the goal. Tammy Abraham scored the winner at the 87th minute from a brilliant ball provided by Willian. The match ended with a scoreline of 2-1 in favour of the Blues, with finally a Chelsea win.
