Jorginho could leave Chelsea as Sarri is looking for a reunion at Juventus. Maurizio Sarri bought the Italian midfielder at Chelsea in the summer of 2018. They worked successfully together previously at Napoli and that partnership could continue again in Sirea A for Juventus. Sarri’s side is currently top of the Italian league with 63 points from 21 games. The Bianconeri have set their target on Chelsea’s midfielder and they could offer Miralem Pjanic in the deal. Pjanic’s recent form has been poor and his high wage demands can lead his Juventus career to an end soon.
Juventus is eyeing to offload some of their old and experienced players to raise some transfer funds for this summer and Pjanic is one of them who will turn 30 in April. The Old lady is looking to add some young and fresh talents to their setup for the next season. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City are also interested to sign the Bosnian.
Jorginho had a slow start to his Chelsea career under Maurizio Sarri last season but slowly but surely he has been one of the first names on the Chelsea XI. Sarri left Chelsea after one year in charge and guided them to the Europa League victory in his only season at Stamford Bridge before he took charge at Juventus last year. Lampard is also happy to work with the Italian and sees him as a long term option in his squad.

“I have got to say, I watched him in a lot of the games in the run-in last year – I know he had a bit of a tough time – but I was struck by his bravery on the ball. He always wanted it.
“I was excited to work with him, and from day one in pre-season, we had a possession game, it was clear his ability on the ball.
“What has become even clearer since then, his attitude and what he does with the group, he is driven” – Lampard said earlier this season.
Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho have built a strong midfield partnership for the blues and the Italian has been very impressive in the centre of the pitch.
What Does The Future Hold Now?
Chelsea has a number of talented central midfielders in their ranks already. The likes of N’golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek are all set to fight for a first-team spot. The 18-year-old youngster Billy Gilmour is also a hot prospect.
So, a 30-year-old Pjanic might not be needed. Despite that, it will be difficult for Juventus to get Jorginho easily. Pjanic has a release clause of £51m. The player has a contract at the Turin based club till 2023.
Chelsea has signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax who has been the only signing so far for Frank Lampard. He will be looking to add more quality to his squad before the next season starts. Lampard has done a decent job without any signings this season. His team is in the fourth position in the Premier League table. They will be looking to become a threat again in Europe next season.
