Revealed: The Solution For Chelsea’s Attacking Woes Next Season Is This Liverpool Target

Liverpool

The Liverpool Target’s Transfer Story- The RB Leipzig star, Timo Werner is in demand after having another successful season in the Bundesliga. Chelsea is in a crisis situation when it comes to their forward options. Frank Lampard made Tammy Abraham, a 22-year-old Chelsea academy graduate, first-choice centre-forward for the Blues this season. The choice though did not justify as it was expected and Chelsea’s attacking woes continued.

Tammy Abraham has scored only 14 times this campaign so far and more experienced strikers like Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi did not perform as much they can do but arguably some can say that they could be trusted more. Olivier Giroud’s contract is running out at the end of this season while Batshuayi is expected to leave as he is not in Lampard’s future plans.

The Update On The Future Of This Liverpool Target Wanted By Chelsea

The 24-year-old German forward has scored 21 goals with seven assists in just 25 league appearances so far and this has matched his previous best for a season already with 11 games still to go. He is only behind Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich in the top goal-scoring chart in the German league this term. The versatile attacker can play anywhere in the front line and he has proved it many times for his club, RB Leipzig.

Rumor Mongering: Liverpool Could Miss Out On Timo Werner, Bayern ...

According to RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche Timo Werner is expected to stay at Red Bull Arena for at least another year.

“So far, there have been no inquiries for him, so I assume that he will be with us next year,”

“A lot depends on how the transfer market develops and whether all leagues will be completed,” Krösche told Bild.

According to various reports, Werner could be available for €60m, much cheaper than some of the other highly rated forwards in the current transfer market. Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and Lyon’s Moussa Dembele is also heavily linked with Chelsea in recent times.

What Next For These Premier League Giants?

Liverpool is a club that is heavily linked with Werner and the player has immense praise for Liverpool FC and the German coach. Klopp has made a name for himself over the years and his team are the Champions League holders at present.

“He is the best coach in the world right now. I know Liverpool is the best team at the moment in the world,” Werner told Viasport.

“When you are linked with that team it makes me very proud.”

Rashford destroying Alexander-Arnold was my fault, says Klopp

The Merseyside Reds is at the top of the Premier League table and with nine games still to go the title race in England is all but over. Jurgen Klopp’s side has a strong starting eleven but there are still doubts over the quality of his squad depth. In the last round of the FA Cup, Klopp played an alternate eleven against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and got defeated in a bad way. Also in the Champions League, Liverpool unexpectedly lost to Atletico de Madrid.

However, Chelsea is desperate to sign a top-class striker in this summer and money won’t be a problem to land Werner. After serving the transfer ban, the west Londoners will be very much active in this summer’s window to boost their squad. Chelsea’s attacking woes need to be addressed and it needs to be done this summer.
