Rohit Sharma is one of the mainstays of the Indian batting line up. When he made his international debut, the world witnessed that he has a lot of potentials. However, he could not convert them into consistent scores. In 2013, MS Dhoni promoted him as the opener of the team. From there he never looked back. He started to score runs all around the world and became one of the most feared batsmen for the bowlers.

He is the only man to notch three double hundreds in One Day Internationals. His 264 against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens is the highest individual score by any batsmen in ODI’s. His destructive batting earned him the nickname ‘Hitman’. Currently, he is one of the best batsmen in the world and a modern-day cricket.

Once, a fan asked Rohit Sharma a strange question. There are many instances when fans ask the cricketers some strange questions to gain attention. In the year 2015, one such fan asked Rohit Sharma a strange question. Rohit also gave him a subtle reply.

A Fan asked Rohit Sharma a bizarre question on Twitter-

During a Q&A session on Twitter in July 2015, a fan asked Rohit about his favourite nickname between ‘hitman’ and ‘Maggi man’. However, Rohit did not get angry with such a stupid question. He calmly answered that ‘Hitman’ is his favourite nickname.

Fan tweet: “Your favourite nickname? Maggi man or hitman?”

Rohit’s response: “I prefer hitman”

Rohit Sharma is currently spending his time in his residence, getting ready for yet another season of the IPL. He last played during the T20 series against New Zealand at the start of the year. He then suffered an injury which ruled him out of the ODI and Test series. His absence had an adverse effect on the Indian team.

The team suffered a whitewash in the ODI and Test series. However, right now the focus is not international cricket. The T20 World Cup has been postponed to next year. The next edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to take place soon. That is going to be the main focus for every Indian player, who will be playing now.

He was ready to lead the Mumbai Indians in the IPL which was scheduled to start on March 29. However, the coronavirus pandemic set in and the BCCI had to postpone the IPL indefinitely. Still, the good news is that the tournament will start soon. The team and their skipper will want to prove a point once again.

The IPL will now kickstart on the 29th of September in the UAE, which has been confirmed. It will continue till November 10. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will host the tournament, which will run for 53 days. Rohit Sharma along with other cricketers will be itching o get back to the field. He will be leading the Mumbai Indians and will be looking to get his hand on his 5th IPL title as Mumbai Indians captain.
