Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is the only IPL side facing major discomfort for their off-field issues. They are in the turmoil of playing members testing COVID positive with preparation stagnated in UAE. The most heartbreaking incident for fans at least was Suresh Raina’s departure from the camp, back to India. Fondly named as ‘Chinna Thala’, Raina decided to quit the IPL season following a grave injustice done to his family. His Uncle was murdered along with his cousin, leaving aunt wounded, when his house was invaded by some unknown miscreants.
Fans threw their support for their Vice-captain on Social Media. However, side by side left very disappointedly about the news. Raina played a pivotal figure in CSK’s glorious journeys in the tournament since the franchise inception in 2008. A character like him leaving like this is indeed hard to take for the fan base.
What The Conversation That Went Viral On Twitter Was All About?
He was the first player to start preparation for IPL 2020 back home. Raina was fully committed after his retirement from the International stage to take the pitch once again. Sadly, he won’t be a part of the upcoming season. The team and the fans will be missing him for sure.
Keeping that in mind, the whole topic was trending a lot of Twitter. Fans were wondering what would happen within the CSK camp and were looking for answers online.

One of the fans shellshocked by the whole scenario asked on the official account of CSK: ‘Leo who is our Vice Captain now?’ To which the club took notice and replied, ‘Wise captain irruke bayam yen’ which translates as ‘why fear when the wise captain is there’.

CSK’s reply to this tweet was rather a cheeky one. They still have their stupendous leader to guide the team in the competition despite all the uncertainties. When you’re name is ‘MS Dhoni’ you know why you belong here. Such is the story of this man that brings out this tremendous belongingness and strength altogether. Fans are henceforth is building hope in their hearts.
The Dhoni Saga Continues And Even CSK Appreciates Him
‘Captain Cool’ Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from cricket on the International level on 15th August. The same day Suresh Raina also called time on his career as an act of true friendship. Dhoni ended his illustrious career that contained endless achievements in what could be called one of defining eras in Indian cricketing history.
Not only with the nation that his captaincy structured greatness but also on the domestic level. Dhoni’s leadership helped CSK to taste IPL trophy three times and once made the side the most successful brigade in the tournament. The satisfying thing is Dhoni has still the domestic format to play in his career. He will take the pitch yet again in the yellows to try to begin another glory in this rehosted tournament in UAE.
