The Ashwin Story- England was beaten by Australia in the decider of the ODI series on Wednesday. Australia clinched the ODI series with a 2-1 margin. One incident during the match went viral. Adil Rashid was out of the crease in the 49th over of the match while England were 287/7. Mitchell Starc had a clear opportunity to run him out.
However, the bowler gave a warning to Adil Rashid and moved back to the bowling crease again. The Netizens were very much impressed with the action of the star Australian pacer. Twitter was flooded with appreciation posts for Mitchell Starc.
What Is The Story About And Why Ashwin Got Trolled?
One Pakistan Cricket fan retweeted the post by mentioning Ravichandran Ashwin and asked him to learn something from this incident. Ashwin also gave a reply to the fan. The off-spinner told that he would certainly discuss this incident a few days later. Ravichandran Ashwin mankadded Jos Buttler in Indian Premier League in the match between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals.
Rajasthan Royals were in a good position in that match. However, they lost their way after the dismissal of Jos Butter and they had to accept the defeat in that match. The Cricket World was divided into two parts after this incident. Few were in support of Ravichandran Ashwin as it was inside the rules of Cricket. However, most people were against him and according to them, it was not the spirit of the Gentleman’s game.

The incident has still been quite significant. Ravichandran Ashwin has joined Delhi Capitals this season and their head coach Ricky Ponting has mentioned that he will like to have a word with Ravichandran Ashwin regarding this incident. Ricky Ponting doesn’t want his team members to follow this trend. It will be very interesting to see the equation between the coach and the player during the tournament.
Ashwin’s response to the fan though was quite interesting-
I believe in fighting the good fight but wait till the day after and I will get back to you on this. I would like to give a day to myself.? https://t.co/2LJufUNAnX

What A Cracking Game Between England And Australia!!
Meanwhile, Australia sealed the victory in the third ODI in a significant manner. England put up a total of 302 onboard following the century of their star opener Jonny Bairstow. However, they lost four quick wickets at the start of the innings. Jason Roy, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler went back to pavilion without contributing much for their side. Billings and Chris Woakes’ half-century were enough for England to get past 300-mark in this match. While coming to bat, Australia lost five quick wickets and they were on the back foot from the beginning of the chase.
Warner, Finch, Stoinis, Labuschagne and Mitchell Marsh were not able to make a mark with the bat. It was the partnership between Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey which helped Australia to get closer to the target. However, Eoin Morgan’s bowlers tried their to trouble the Australians with taking the wickets of Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey in quick succession. Eoin Morgan kept his faith in Adil Rashid in the last over. Mitchell Starc hit a six and a boundary in the last over of the innings to seal the victory for his side in the decider of the series.
