Watch: Sreesanth Makes Brilliant Coming Back To Cricket; Video Goes Viral

The star Indian fast bowler Sreesanth has been trying to make a comeback International cricket after his ban is being lifted. However, age is not in favour of Sreesanth at this moment. The veteran fast bowler of India is now 37 years old and he feels that there is still seven years of cricket left in him. Sreesanth has been a part of India’s two World Cup-winning squads. In both finals of T20 World Cup in 2007 and ODI World Cup in 2011, Sreesanth has played an important role for team India.

The fast bowler has not been happy with the behaviour of his former teammates during the ban. No one has been in touch with him at that time. He has not got the support from anyone which could have made his journey slightly easier. Sreesanth has been quite a controversial character throughout his career.

The Sreesanth Comeback Story

Sreesanth's ban to be reduced to seven years, ends next year - The Week

He has been banned from all forms of cricket after being found guilty in the Indian Premier League season of 2013. He has also been involved in the slap gate controversy with Harbhajan Singh. The rift with Rajasthan Royals’ head coach Paddy Upton has put him in a dark zone from where it has been impossible for him to make a comeback.

However, Sreesanth has always been in the headlines during this ban period also. He has been cast in a Malayalam movie in this period. Sreesanth has been free from all the charges on 13th September 2020. It has been a long time, but the player has not lost his self-confidence which is quite amazing.

According to the sources, Sreesanth is in touch with some clubs in England and Australia to make his comeback in the International cricket. He has set a target of representing his country again in the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, he needs to prove himself once again in the big stage before thinking about it too much.

What Next For The Fast Bowler

The star Indian seamer has been known for toe crusher yorkers from his early playing days. One video has gone viral which is showcasing a clip of Sreesanth. Sreesanth is bowling the same toe crusher yorker in the net and the batsman has no clue. The Netizens have gone excited after seeing Sreesanth in action after so many days.

The fast-bowler has been quite popular amongst the fans before the ban. He has been an interesting character on and off the field. It will be great to see a second innings in the career of Sreesanth for all the cricket lovers. Kerala head coach Tinu Yohanan has not commented anything specific about Sreesanth’s return in the domestic cricket yet. According to him, the form and fitness will be the key factors if the star Indian fast bowler has to make a comeback in the side.

He has played his last match on February 2013 for Rest of India squad against Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium. It will be very interesting to see what will be the next destination of Sreesanth after the beginning of the second phase of his career.
