His IPL team Mumbai Indians became of the Champions of IPL 2020. They played extraordinary cricket to dominate this season of IPL. Mumbai Indians didn’t play Rutherford in any game of IPL 2020. What Next For World Cricket, Mumbai Indians And The IPL?
The next edition of the IPL will take place in April-May. It will be interesting to see whether Sherfane Rutherford will be playing in the competition or not. He did not play a single game in the current campaign. He was not really needed in the current tournament.
However, the fact of the matter is that Mumbai Indians is a really strong side. They can look to change a few things around, as and when they need. Further, it will be interesting to see whether he is retained in the upcoming edition of the tournament. IPL 2021 could be held in India, as per what Sourav Ganguly has confirmed.
He could also be involved in some of the other games in the upcoming seasons if he is retained. After the success of this tournament, MI may not want to shuffle their team around too much. Let’s wait and watch!!
