Watch: Rishabh Pant Plays A Superb Reverse-Sweep Off Of James Anderson’s Bowling

Rishabh Pant

Day 2 of the fourth Test match between India and England belonged to a couple of Indian batsmen. The duo of Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar took the game away from the visitors. Despite everything that Joe Root and co. tried, they could not break the partnership. It was the combination of these two left-handed batsmen that took the game away from the opposition.

Rishabh Pant managed to score a really good 100 and was the accelerator in this partnership. He took charge and hit a lot of boundaries gathering some quick runs. Even when the second new ball was taken, he took the attack to the England bowlers.

With that being said, the fans enjoyed his batting in this game. He played some unique and brilliant shots that caught the attention of the onlookers. One such shot went viral from the game as well.

The Video of Rishabh Pant That Went Viral On Social Media; What A Brilliant Innings

In the century that Rishabh Pant scored in the match, there was a brilliant shot that he played off of James Anderson. This was right before he scored his 100 and was eventually dismissed on 101.

When Joe Root took the new ball, Rishabh Pant became the aggressor. He charged down the pitch and attacked the bowling. On one occasion, he played a brilliant reverse sweep by staying back in the crease. Twitter couldn’t help but talk about it and share the video around.

Below is the link to the video of the reverse sweep that went viral on Social Media and the fans were just awestruck by this fearless batting-

The fans’ reaction said it all. None of them could believe what they had seen. On the other hand, it was Rishabh Pant who gathered more praise, as he hit a six on 94 to reach his 100. Social Media started comparing him to Virender Sehwag, as they remembered his brilliant triple-100 in Multan.

Team India Now Has The Advantage; Time To Win This Game And Secure The World Test Championship Spot?

From here on, it will be Team India’s game to lose. Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar have laid the foundation for a win for the hosts. They need to build tomorrow on the good work done by the duo. Sundar is still at the crease along with Axar Patel. The rest of the tail now needs to support the all-rounder.

He has been batting really well and has been the more solid of the two (between him and Rishabh Pant). They over a 100-run partnership helped the team recover from the deficit and take a substantial lead. This lead could help them get the win over their rivals. A lot of English players also look tired. This could be due to the heat that they have to bear in India. Hopefully, no one uses that as an excuse for the loss!! Cheers!!
