What Man Of The Match Mayank Agarwal said?
Despite ending on the losing side, Mayank Agarwal won the Man Of The Match award. At the post-match presentation he said, “He (KL Rahul) going for surgery, hopefully, he should be back. Would have liked two points but we were ten short on that wicket and for the kind of PowerPlay they had, we had to really scramble there.”
“One batsman had to bat through and that was the plan, it was my day and tried to get as many as we can but did not get as many in the middle overs but at least ended well. We have to shut this off and turn up the next game and put our best foot forward, figure ways how to get those two points. Kudos to Harpreet, the way he turned up and also hit a crucial boundary, he is bowling exceedingly well. It is about doing well as a unit, hopefully, we will doing well next game.”
Delhi Capitals currently sit at the top position in the points table. They have won six out of the eight matches they have played so far in this year’s IPL. The suspension of the IPL due to the Covid-19 cases did them no favours. They were one of the teams in form and will want the IPL 2021 tournament to be resumed soon. Prithvi Shaw had also gained some momentum in recent matches and would be disappointed with the tournament being stopped now.
