Micky Arthur may not be the most liked man in Sri Lanka right now. There are multiple reasons for the same. Team India which sent a comparatively weaker side to face off the Lankan Lions ended up winning the series 2-0. The hosts were once again looking poor on the pitch. However, they had every chance of winning the game. Unfortunately, Deepak Chahar stole the game away from them at the end.
It was a great game between the two sides. Both teams fought till the very end and at the end, the one that held their nerve prevailed. It was a special inning by Chahar, who literally stole the game away from the home side single-handedly.
What Was The Conversation Post The Loss In The Sri Lankan Camp About And The Video That Went Viral
There was an on-field conversation after the game. The Sri Lankan camp was not happy at all, with the coach on the ground. He was seen expressing his feelings to skipper Dasun Shanaka. It was caught on camera and the fans started talking about it. A section of them was not really pleased with what they saw.
Both Sri Lankan and Indian fans responded to what was going on. Social Media platforms were filled with their opinions on the matter.
Micky Arthur’s coaching career is over. This is Not because of India’s victory. But Becoz of his bad behaviour at Stadium after lose. #INDvSL

Former Sri Lanka cricketer Russel Arnold was not pleased with what he saw as well. He too Tweeted out about the same. This got the fans talking as well and the opinions started flowing in. It sparked a debate online as well.
That conversation between Coach and captain should not have happened on the field but in the dressing room ?

Eventually, The Sri Lankan coach had to respond to the Tweet as well. He was not getting positive responses from the fans. Already, the team had played some poor cricket at the end and thrown the game away.
With that being said, here is what he Tweeted in response-
Russ we win together and lose together but we learn all the time!Dasun and myself are growing a team and we both were very frustrated we did not get over the line!It was actually a very good debate,no need to make mischief out of it!

Well, whatever be the justification for this on-field spat, there is no justifying the performance. Sri Lanka lost another ODI game and the series eventually. The last game of this three-match series will be played on the 23rd of July. It will be interesting to see if Team India makes any changes or not.
The home side will want to win this game without a doubt. Coach Micky Arthur will want to leave no stone unturned to finally win a match. His team needs to buckle up and get the job done. Let’s wait and watch what happens next!!
