Tabraiz Shamsi has been making a name for himself in recent times with his brilliant performances. He has been impressive for the South African team and the fans are talking about him. Recently, the spinner earned a Man Of The Match award for his performance against Ireland. That made a lot of cricket fans talk about him and Social Media was sharing his videos around.
However, where there is going to be good attention, there will be bad as well. That is how just things are. The same has happened with Tabraiz Shamsi. Racism as we know it is a growing problem and a fan attacked the player recently.
What Were The Comments By This Racist Fan Who Made A Reference To Tabraiz Shamsi
The player recently dedicated his figures of 4/27 to his son. That was something beautiful to see and the fans loved this gesture.
The Tweet he sent out was this by the player after that brilliant match-winning performance-
This one was for you my son… Daddy just wants to make you proud ❤ pic.twitter.com/cN9xKYdP2J

With good things come some bad. There was a response to this from a hater, who was racist. He said that the player was just picked for the team due to his skin colour. People love to embarrass themselves by making silly and stupid comments. This was just another such instance.
Below is the Tweet that was made by the fan and the response of the player to shut him out-
One Day Tell Ur Son The Story That I Got Selected In @OfficialCSA ahead of @Simon_Harmer_ owing to my skin colour. He will feel doubly proud

In response, both Tabraiz Shamsi and Simon Harmer called this racist fan out. He was just there for the attention and Harmer showed him the mirror. It was brilliant to see one player stand up for the other. A class act by Simon Harmer!!
Dont you worry…my son will know his dad played for South Africa because he was good enough to play for his country!
Through his hard work n his dedication to do his job honestly & as best as he could do it every single day

What Simon Harmer Also Added?
People like you shouldn’t be allowed on social media. You’re clearly not very clever and extremely ignorant. @shamsi90 is the best T20 bowler in the world, and he got there with hard work, sacrifices and performing under pressure. Something you know nothing about.

The Problem Of Racism And Social Media’s Failure To Deal With These Idiots
As Simon Harmer correctly said, such idiots should not be on Social Media platforms. Racism is a growing problem and these fans don’t deserve to be respected for such silly opinions. The fans of the beautiful game of cricket really need to come together and find such abusive fans.
Yes, this isn’t good for the game or for the players representing their country. At times it impacts their self-confidence and form. Let’s not allow such a thing to hamper the progress of the players we love and respect. They don’t deserve it. Tabraiz Shamsi, job well done and we at Beyond The Posts hope that you progress even more. On the other hand, to Simon Harmer, RESPECT!!
