Confirmed: Arsenal Interested In Signing Former Star If Neves Doesn’t Sign

Arsenal

Premier League giants Arsenal has been trying to add some quality to their midfield. Former skipper Granit Xhaka is all set to leave the club. Keeping that in mind, the team needs better signings in the current transfer window. That is if they want to progress in the upcoming seasons and get back to winning ways. The target is just to get back success, no matter how.

Further, to add to that, a lot of deadwood is said to be leaving. Xhaka is on the list of the players as well that are expected to be gone this summer. He has been linked with Italian clubs, with Juventus and Roma in the hunt. Considering him gone, the club has been looking for a replacement.

What Is The Current Situation With The Ruben Neves Deal; Will Arsenal Sign Him?

Apart from the north London giants, their fierce rivals Manchester United are also in the hunt to sign the Wolves and Portugal international. Keeping that in mind, the interest from the Emirates has died down recently. There are other players that seem to be on their transfer list.

Another reason could be the fact that Wolves want £50m for him. They want to sell the midfielder but on their terms. This could be something that may not work well with the Londoners. They may have backed out completely from the deal. With that being said, Arsenal could be considering an alternative player now. He could be someone that they know quite well.

Can The Gunners Sign This Alternative To Neves; Who Is A Former Player Too And Could Consider A Return?

If Arsenal fails to sign Nevers from Wolves, they have a plan. Locatelli is keen on joining Juventus, with the former champions of Italy looking for ways to get the deal done. They have no real money to spend on the signing and are trying to find an alternate payment option. An offer has been made to Sassuolo, which they may or may not accept.

With the Italian Euro winner not keen on a move to Arsenal, it seems that there is an alternative to Neves now. The player in contention is former Gunner, Glen Kamara from Rangers. The 25-year-old Finland international was at the Euros with his national team.

He looked impressive and has made an impact in the SPL and the international tournament. The player has been good in recent times, though he failed to make it at Arsenal as a youngster. With that being said, if the club fails to sign their other targets, they will look to bring him back to the club.

Arsenal has looked really keen to add more quality. They are in need of midfield reinforcements at present. Keeping that in mind, they will look to add him to the squad. There are various other factors related to the move. Let’s wait and watch if the deal happens or not.
