Watch: Jimmy Anderson Bowls Brilliant Delivery To Dismiss Rohit Sharma

The Rohit Sharma-KL Rahul Show- Team India was put to bat in the second Test match against England. The first match was a draw and the team that made a positive start on day 1 would grab an advantage in the game and the series. Keeping that in mind, it seemed that Joe Root and co. had a plan in mind, as they came out to bowl. However, this was not the ideal decision as per a lot of Pundits and former players.

With that being said, Team India made a really good start to the second match. They were in command with Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul having an opening stand of 126. Despite the great stand, it was veteran pacer Jimmy Anderson who dismissed him.

The Video Of The Wicket Of Rohit Sharma That Went Viral; Jimmy Anderson Bowls A Beauty

The English pacers had nothing to show on a pitch that was not doing much. The first session of the game belonged to the visitors. They were in total control after a 100-run partnership between their opening batsmen. Rohit Sharma was the aggressor and made a brilliant 83.

Despite that, Jimmy Anderson was not going to back down from a challenge. He was fully charged and after bowling nine overs, was into his tenth. It was the perfect time for England to get a wicket, as the game was slowly slipping away from them. Stepped in Jimmy Anderson and he delivered as always.

The veteran bowler bowled the perfect delivery to get rid of Hitman Sharma. Just a brilliant ball that the fans could only admire. Despite all the hard work, the Mumbai Indians skipper had been beaten.

Below is the video of the wicket that saw Rohit Sharma return to the pavilion-

Team India Still Has The Advantage In The Test Match

With more than a 100 run-partnership up top, Team India surely has the advantage in the match. They are looking good to post a huge total if their middle-order can now support the batting. Such a positive start on a pitch that has not much to offer. Virat Kohli and co. will now want to seize the opportunity and make an impact.

IND vs ENG 1st Test: Rohit Sharma & KL Rahul shine as opening pair

They have been playing really good cricket in the series so far. The team looked the favourites to win the first game as well. Unfortunately, rain foiled their plans to get the job done in the end. However, it was a game that the visitors had the advantage in.

Once again, Team India has been given a great start with Rohit Sharma being the main man in the partnership. Hopefully, the other batsmen can now take the impetus and get the job done. This looks like a great wicket to bat on and some of the out-of-form players within the Indian side would want to make the most of it. Let’s wait and watch if they can deliver in the upcoming sessions of the game or not.
