The match against the Minnows was not all easy for the Bavarian’s as they had to come back from a goal down. The Bundesliga giants fought back after going a goal down to beat Ingolstadt 3-1 on Saturday, Goals came in from Robert Lewandowski, Xabi Alonso and Rafinha to clinch 3 points from Ingolstadt.
A classic display from the Bavarians once again, as they were given plenty of problems by the visiting team at the Allianz Arena before going on and making it three out three wins in the league this term.
Their superior quality was a key part in turning the match as it saw them go through in spite of a few nervy moments, with Rafinha’s late shot ending all the chances for Ingolstadt’s.
The away side gave the Europe’s elite a bit of a scare when Dario Lezcano scored the first one of the game, but Carlo Ancelotti’s men didnt hold back and shortly after struck a goal courtesy of Polish international Robert Lewandowski.
However, Ingolstadt weren’t sitting back and started testing Bayern with Lezcano and Mathew Leckie becoming a threat in the attack, but Bayern ultimately took the lead through Xabi Alonso at the start of the second half.
Impressive performances from Lezcano and Leckie inspired another glorious chance for them but was spurned by Lukas Hinterseer. Eventually, Rafinha managed to score for his side and secured the sixth successive win in all competitions for the Bavarians, as they looked quite impressive at the start of the new campaign.
