Real Madrid News: Marco Asensio Gives An Update To Arsenal And Liverpool Regarding Move

Real Madrid News: According to reports, Marco Asensio has no intention of leaving Real Madrid and will turn down offers from Arsenal and Liverpool to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu. In a report by the Spanish site Defensa Central, the pursuit of Marco Asensio by Arsenal, Liverpool, and other clubs has been dealt a significant setback. The Spanish winger is prepared to turn down offers from other clubs. This is due to the fact that he wants to remain at Real Madrid beyond the summer transfer window.

From RCD Mallorca, Marco Asensio joined Real Madrid in July 2015 and has been there since. Nonetheless, six and a half years after his first arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu, he has failed to establish himself as a major player for Los Blancos in the league. The 26-year-old has shown indications of a comeback throughout the current season, despite his poor start.

What Is The Latest Real Madrid News Involving Asensio?

In 25 games in all competitions this season, the Spanish international has a respectable record of eight goals and one assist to his credit. However, Asensio’s Real Madrid future has been up in the air for some time. This has kept potential suitors intrigued about a possible move for the Spanish international. Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the teams who are interested in signing him on a long-term basis.

Arsenal’s increased interest comes in the aftermath of recent reports claiming that their pursuit of the player may be coming to an end. In the meanwhile, Arsenal may have no option but to recruit a player similar to the Real Madrid forward. That is since Nicolas Pepe’s future at the club is unknown. This is necessitating the need to boost their offensive unit.

While Asensio is apparently interested in joining Liverpool, the Reds have not been connected with him for some time, even though they do not need a new attacking player after the addition of Luis Diaz in the January transfer window. While the fates of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are still up in the air, it seems doubtful that either would leave Liverpool before the end of the season.

The Updates That Followed The Story

Aside from Arsenal and Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also shown an interest. They are keen on signing the Real Madrid forward on a free transfer. Asensio, on the other hand, has no intention of leaving Real Madrid anytime soon. The player is happy and will continue to battle for his spot in the team. This is, despite the rumoured arrival of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

According to Defensa Central, Asensio is prioritising his desire to remain at Real Madrid beyond the summer transfer season. Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer of his abilities. The Italian manager will do all in his power to maintain hold of the Spanish forward. Arsenal and Liverpool, on the other hand, will almost certainly have to go elsewhere to get an offensive reinforcement.
