LSG vs RR Live Update: Aakash Chopra, a former Indian batter, expressed his opinion that the poor performance of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2022 was just the result of “one terrible match.” He encouraged the team to improve themselves in the forthcoming game.
After suffering a loss against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune, LSG was knocked off the top place in the points standings for the IPL 2022 tournament. The bowlers for Lucknow did a good job of holding Gujarat to 144 runs for four wickets. Despite this, they were only able to score 82 runs before they were all out in the chase, which took 13.5 overs.
Chopra has said on his YouTube channel the following in response to Lucknow’s defeat:
“Just because they lost one game doesn’t mean they’re a horrible squad. Indeed, LSG played at a very low level in their most recent match. They seemed to have no depth. They should have gone after 140. But they were unable to. It was a one-sided loss.”
At the end of the match against Gujarat, Deepak Hooda was the only batter for Lucknow to reach the 20-run mark. Rashid Khan took four wickets for GT, while Yash Dayal and Sai Kishore each took two wickets. Sai Kishore also picked up a wicket.
LSG vs RR Live Update: The match between LSG and RR is quite significant. — Aakash Chopra, commenting on the importance of Sunday’s IPL 2022 matchup
At this point, the match between Lucknow and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take place on Sunday at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. In his pre-game analysis, Chopra said that the next match is important for both clubs because of the potential for advancement to the playoffs. He went on to Explain:
“The match between LSG and RR is quite significant. Should Lucknow prevail, they will advance. Should RR come out on top, they will be quite close to qualifying for the next round. After then, both teams will have 16 points. This indicates that Lucknow has a chance of not finishing in the top two. Also, it will be very necessary for Rajasthan to win their last match if they continue to struggle.”
Chopra believes that Lucknow would not make a significant number of changes after the disheartening defeat against Gujarat. On the other hand, he argued that Ravi Bishnoi, a leg spinner, should be included in the RR match. Chopra said:
“They could decide to bring Ravi Bishnoi in for this match. It will be played in the evening. Remember, one side is larger at Brabourne. In the last match, Rahul Chahar and Wanindu Hasaranga each took a wicket here. Aside from that, I don’t see any other differences. They don’t have a lot of reason to be concerned.”
Following their game against Rajasthan, LSG will play their last league match of IPL 2022 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday, May 18 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
