Latest Hardik Pandya News: "I Want To Win The World Cup, No Matter What Happens"- Hardik Pandya Sets A New Goal For Himself After Winning IPL 2022

Latest Hardik Pandya News: Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Gujarat Titans (GT) team that won the Indian Premier League (IPL), has said that his primary objective is to maintain his current level of play and assist India in winning the Twenty20 World Cup this year. On Sunday, he won his seventh Indian Premier League title. His team, the Gujarat Tigers (GT), defeated the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets at Motera.

There will always be mountains to climb when there are valleys, and no one understands this concept more than Hardik Pandya. The 28-year-old player has worked his way back to the top and into the Indian squad despite facing challenges such as lean spells, injuries, and snubs from the national side. Pandya is looking forward to the showcase competition that will take place in Australia in October and November this year.

What did Hardik say?

“No matter what the outcome may be, the ultimate goal for India is to take home the World Cup. I’m going to provide absolutely all that I can. I have always been the kind of man who puts the team’s needs before my own. Therefore, the objective that I will set for myself will be to ensure that my team receives the maximum. No matter how many games I’ve played, representing India in any competition has always been somewhat of a surreal experience for me.

It has been an honor and a privilege for me to represent my country during my whole career. The overwhelming majority of the love and support I have received comes from the Indian national team. So long term and short term, one aim is there — I want to win the World Cup, no matter what happens,” Hardik Pandya responded to a question from Sportskeeda at the post-match news conference.

Latest Hardik Pandya News: Hardik Pandya had faced a snub from the Indian Cricket Team

In November of last year, he wore the national shirt when India played Namibia in a match that marked an embarrassing departure from the Twenty20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates for Virat Kohli and his teammates. Pandya did not have a very good run. But he received a disproportionate amount of criticism because he is no longer a bowling option like he once was. As a direct result of this, he was kicked out of the team.

But in the manner of a genuine champion, he began his return journey at Bengaluru’s NCA, away from all the attention that was being paid to him. Even after the Titans publicly acknowledged him as their new leader, questions over his qualifications persisted. He scored 487 runs at a good average of 44.27 and took 8 wickets at a thrifty economy of 7.27 while leading the way. Thus it’s safe to say that he was the team’s leader.

Hardik Pandya gave credit for his accomplishments to his family. In particular to his wife, he added that the knowledge that his loved ones would always have his support no matter what gives him the confidence to pursue his goals.
