'At Least €40 Million May Still Be Needed'-Arsenal Wants The Juventus Player In The January Transfer Window Itself

Arsenal is reportedly planning to make a move for Manuel Locatelli in January. This is because the midfielder’s future at Juventus is unclear

Gazzetta dello Sport says that Arsenal is still following Manuel Locatelli as they plan a big move for the Juventus midfielder in January. The Italian international’s future at the club is still unclear, but Mikel Arteta still wants to bring him to North London to strengthen the team.

Manuel Locatelli’s future at Juventus is in doubt because he is not in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans for the near future. Even though the Italian midfielder has played a lot this season, he has not yet earned a spot in the starting lineup. This is because the club is still thinking about the futures of several players and staff.

Both in Italy and in Europe, Juventus have had a terrible start to the season. The recent loss to Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League has made people wonder what will happen to Allegri soon. Still, the club president stuck by his decision to keep the manager and put the blame on a number of players without naming them.

Will Manuel Locatelli move to Arsenal?

Locatelli could be one of them. Juventus could be willing to accept offers for him. Arsenal has been interested in the midfielder since the summer of 2021, when they tried to sign him several times. He ended up joining Juventus on a loan for two years with an option to buy for about €40 million.

Recent news stories said that Locatelli would rather stay where he is, but what happened after that makes it hard to see him staying in Turin. Mikel Arteta wanted the 24-year-old Italian international to replace Granit Xhaka in 2021. The Spaniard may now look at him as a good midfielder to play with the Swiss midfielder.

At least €40 million may still be needed to get Juventus to consider an offer, which could be well within Arsenal’s reach. Arsenal’s best start to a Premier League season has been led by Arteta, and adding Locatelli will help them try to win the title.

Will the Gunners make a move for him?

As more stories come out about this subject, there might be something to them. The Gunners have been keen on a new midfielder. And because Locatelli can play the holding role and also help in the attacking phase, he might be a good investment.

He might not want to join Arsenal, but if he did, it would be a step up from where he is now, which is Juventus. There could be more than one club. But if Arsenal makes an offer, it could turn out very well for them.

Arsenal should swallow their pride and make a move for Manuel Locatelli, a midfielder for Juventus, in January. Locatelli could be the perfect player for the Gunners. The box-to-box midfielder was one of Italy’s best players at Euro 2020, where they won the championship at Wembley Stadium. After the tournament, Arsenal tried to sign him, but Sassuolo finally got him to move to Turin for £32.6 million.
