The business that Arsenal has done in the transfer market over the last three windows has been considered regarded as some of the greatest business done in the market in recent years. While the departures have been sanctioned in order to conform to Mikel Arteta’s current style, technical director Edu has been instrumental in a number of high-profile signings.
Seven players that started for the Gunners in their last game before the World Cup were acquisitions made by Edu. They are now integral parts of Arteta’s team. Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko were bought from Manchester City. The total transfer cost about £72 million last summer. Thus, joining the club’s previous summer signings of Ben White (£50m), Martin Odegaard (£30m), and Aaron Ramsdale (£30m).
With 12 victories and just 2 losses in the Premier League, Arteta’s Arsenal team is in the first place. They are only one point ahead of Manchester City. Talk, since domestic football was placed on pause this month to coincide with the Qatar World Cup, has been focused on prospective incomings in the January transfer window. Connections have arisen connecting an existing Gunner with a move elsewhere.
Gabriel Magalhaes, the Arsenal defender, has allegedly drawn interest from teams all around Europe due to his stellar play this season. Reports out of Italy claim that Juventus is keeping tabs on Gabriel and has sent fellow Brazilian Danilo to try to sign the centre-back for the Old Lady.
What’s next for Gabriel at Arsenal?
CalcioMercatoWeb claimed in the summer that the Serie A heavyweights were ready to give £25 million in addition to a permanent deal for Adrien Rabiot and a loan for Arthur Melo. The 24-year-old never made the move. In October he made a commitment to stay in north London until 2027.
O’Rourke, a football commentator, has speculated that Arteta has a substitute for Gabriel in Italy. Serie A giants Juventus are still interested in the ex-Lille player.
He told the FootballFancast: “So, I think long-term plans still will be for White to play centre half. I am sure an exciting partnership with him and William Saliba. Both young and full of potential and they could be a great partnership in the making for years to come.”
Arsenal is also looking for a wide player. They like how Pulisic can play in different positions all over the midfield. Liverpool also likes him. But they are mostly interested in Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.
Nest season’s kits
Even though the Premier League season isn’t even half over yet, information about Arsenal’s kits for next year has already been leaked.
The Gunners and Adidas got back together in 2019 after being apart for 25 years. The kits were so popular that the club broke its record for kit sales. Arsenal’s partnership with the sports company has been extended until 2030 because of the successful reunion. This will “continue to inspire and engage fans around the world,” says the company.
Even though most of Arsenal’s Adidas kits have been popular, this season’s black away shirt with gold trim and a “AFC” design inspired by the big letters outside the Emirates Stadium has been one of the most popular. After being sold out for months, the shirt is now back on sale on the club’s website.
