“€50 million Sent”, Arsenal To Beat Liverpool And Chelsea For The Biggest Signing Of January Transfer Window

Arsenal Liverpool Chelsea

According to reports, Arsenal and Chelsea will rival Liverpool in 2023 to sign Spanish winger Nico Williams, who is valued at €50 million by Athletic Club

A Goal report claims that next year’s Premier League heavyweights Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool will all be competing to recruit Nico Williams. Spain’s 20-year-old international star has a €50 million buyout provision.

Nico Williams has been a crucial player for Athletic Club this season. He has impressed in La Liga with his performances. The skilled forward has scored four goals and assisted on four more in all competitions. Thus, it suggests that he may be a valuable long-term acquisition for any one of the three teams.

Williams might be an excellent long-term addition for Arsenal as they look to add more depth to their assault. With his addition, Mikel Arteta might switch up his lineup in the second half of the season, using players like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

On the other hand, it’s quite improbable that the player would desire to switch leagues in the middle of the season and join a Premier League team. The Spanish winger is a starter for his club’s first team. He likely would not risk losing his starting spot by relocating to a different league in the near future.

Will Arsenal get Nico Williams?

Liverpool and Chelsea could both benefit from adding to their offensive options. The Blues’ performances this season have been lacklustre at best. Players like Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic have been especially disappointing.

Jurgen Klopp needs a reliable replacement for Mohamed Salah. The 20-year-old winger might be the perfect fit for Liverpool. During Salah’s absence, Klopp has been forced to employ Harvey Elliott as an inverted offensive midfielder on the right wing. He may find a more seamless alternative for the Egyptian international by signing Williams.

The Spanish winger has a release clause of €50 million. All three Premier League teams have the means to carry off the transfer. If they opt to activate his release clause in January, Athletic Club will be unable to stop him from departing. According to recent sources, Liverpool is in the driver’s seat to sign Williams.

What’s next?

The player’s development might be sped up by a transfer to the Premier League. There he could work with top-tier coaches like Jurgen Klopp. In addition, Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid are also interested in the Spanish winger. It would be fascinating to watch who is able to outbid the competition and sign Williams for €50 million.

Williams is playing for Spain at the World Cup right now. If they do well, it could make other clubs want to sign him. With the January transfer window opening just a few days after the World Cup ends, players are firmly on display.

So far, the attacker from Athletic Bilbao hasn’t played much for Spain. But that could change as the tournament goes on.
