Chelsea player Christian Pulisic might be interested in a move to Manchester United in January, but this isn’t likely to happen
Calciomercato says that Christian Pulisic, who has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea in the last few years, could end up at Manchester United.
The forward has had a disappointing four years at Chelsea. He could finally leave the club in January. Since Cristiano Ronaldo just left Manchester United, they are likely to sign another forward in January.
Erik ten Hag has stressed the importance of getting a striker. Pulisic, on the other hand, is a very different kind of player. The Chelsea winger likes to take on the defender from the left side the most. But he is just as good from the right.
The player will be sold. Chelsea will definitely let it happen. But it remains to be seen if they think they need to improve their direct Premier League rivals. But the report says that Pulisic is likely to sign with Manchester United.
His lack of consistency has been a problem in the Premier League. If he moves to Old Trafford, he might have to start over with his career. There will be a lot of competition for a spot on the team, as players like Jadon Sancho and Antony are already ahead of them in the Manchester United pecking order.
Chelsea might decide to keep Pulisic until the summer so they can test him more. The USMNT player has shown flashes of brilliance. His country’s only goal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup got them through to the next round.
Will United get Pulisic?
Arsenal is also keeping an eye on Pulisic and could decide to go talk to their London rival about him. Manchester United may be interested in the forward. But the final decision will be made by the manager, who will decide if he would be a good fit or not.
Pulisic will start for the USMNT against the Netherlands in the last 16 of the World Cup. Pulisic was unsure if he would be able to play in the match because he hurt his pelvis in the last group game against Iran. But he has been cleared to play in the important knockout round match.
Berhalter has also chosen Ferreira to play. The striker hasn’t played a single minute at the World Cup yet, but he will be part of a front three with Pulisic and Timothy Weah. Last season, Ferreira scored 18 goals for FC Dallas, and he will hope to do the same on Saturday.
