“Please Reject Arsenal And Tottenham”, £30,769-PER-WEEK Star Player Told To Reject Arsenal And Tottenham

Gabby Agbonlahor, a former player for Aston Villa, believes that Alexis Mac Allister, who has been linked to both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, would be better off moving to a bigger club.

The former striker told Football Insider that Brighton & Hove Albion would need a large transfer sum to let go of the 23-year-old midfielder.

Mac Allister was a key member of Argentina’s team in the recent FIFA World Cup. He started six of their seven games and helped them win twice with his goals and assists.

Multiple big teams, including Tottenham, Arsenal, and Atletico Madrid, are allegedly interested in signing him. They have seen his impressive play in the competition, as reported by Daily Mail.

Will Alexis Mac Allister move to the Gunners or Tottenham?

Agbonlahor praised the Argentina star in an interview with Football Insider: “I thought he was a great player at Brighton and was very impressed with him. Then, in Argentina, he has also done very well. Maybe he’s one of those players who plays better when he’s with better players. Maybe if he went to a bigger club, he’d be better and you’d get more out of him. It was very smart of Brighton to sign him before the World Cup. I’m sure clubs will have to pay a lot to get out.”

The January 2019 transfer cost of £7 million brought Mac Allister to Brighton from Boca Juniors. But before signing on permanently with the Seagulls, he was loaned back to the Argentine team. Since then, he’s played 77 times in the Premier League and contributed 11 goals and three assists.

A rise in interest in his services is to be expected after his stellar play for Argentina at the World Cup. It will be fascinating to watch where he signs in the following months. There is little question that Mac Allister, no matter where he plays, will have a major influence on the field.

Despite interest from Tottenham and Arsenal, Brighton manager Paul Barber had nothing but admiration for Mac Allister

Paul Barber, CEO of Brighton, has spoken highly of midfielder Alexis Mac Allister. Thus calling the interest from Arsenal and Spurs a “good issue to have.”

He made these comments to BBC Sport (via the Daily Mail), where they first appeared: “We’ve seen in the last few months that when players do well, they do get attention from other big clubs. We know that these clubs have more money and can take players to a higher level because of it. We’re not stupid.”

In preparation for what promises to be a very active January transfer window, Alexis Mac Allister will want to provide Brighton with some certainty over his future with the club. Top-of-the-table rivals Arsenal and Tottenham will be keeping tabs on him. Now, we have to wait and see what happens next.
