RIP Pele!! As the news broke out that Pele, the legend was no more, I thought to myself; what would legends like these think when they know that they are almost out of time. What do they want to convey or express one last time, when they know that millions of people want to hear from them. It is not easy for an individual or any living being for that matter, to accept that the end is near.
Most people generally break down at the news of a random disease. Terminal diseases like cancer hit harder for sure. To add to that, when a person has the power to say a lot, post on Social Media platforms and doesn’t lose his composure, it is very respectable. Otherwise, it could send a global fanbase into utter frenzy. Further, at the bring of a New Year, the paradox of emotions is just too much!!
Not something that you want on Social Media. And for that kudos to the KING and every celebrity that has gone through this state of mind and still remained calm. Most of which, us “Muggles” (Harry Potter reference) would have surely failed to do!!
RIP Pele: The KING Remains FOREVER In Our Hearts!!
Now, for the fans of the game who loved him, my condolences to you. For the ones that didn’t appreciate him that much, you have no clue what you have lost too!! Maybe someday when you look back at his videos, in his prime, your perspective will surely change.

Pele did all the tricks a Ronaldo, Messi or Mbappe can do back in the day. He won it all too with Brazil and set the records for every other footballer that followed him to break. With 3 World Cups to his name, the man was a genius. His real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento but not many may know this.
At the age of 82, he lost a hard fought battle to cancer. His fight was as gracious as his career. The only man in football history to win 3 World Cup titles!! Another 20 have won it twice. Ain’t that something remarkable!!
Further, Pele was nicknamed O Rei (The King) following the 1958 tournament. He is the joint-top goalscorer for Brazil with 77 goals in 92 games. At the club level, he is the all-time top scorer for Santos’ all-time with 643 goals in 659 games.
The World Of Football Mourns The Loss Of A Spectacular Legend
Players compete, they fight and like or dislike each other. Nobody is perfect and so we know the same about the KING!! He did have some fans and players that didn’t like him. Further, there were others that loved him. And finally, each and everyone had to respect what he done for the sport!!
Legends like Neymar looked up to him. He even sent out a post after his passing!! It is quite clear from this that without Pele, there might not have been a Neymar!!
Without Pelé there may not have been a Neymar.
His legacy lives on in the players he inspired for decades.

Further, Pele loved Maradona and vice versa. This was despite that fact that Brazil and Argentina had one of the fiercest rivalries in world football. They were huge admirers of each other. And when Argentina won the World Cup this year in Qatar, the KING sent out a post!!
📱Pele on Instagram :
“Today, football continues to tell its story, as always, in an enthralling way. Messi winning his first WorldCup, as his trajectory deserved. Congratulations Argentina! Certainly Diego is smiling now.” pic.twitter.com/IOJG1n9BIP— Culers Media (@lewyball) December 18, 2022
And Messi returned the respect with some mutual admiration tonight!! However, he could not say much. I guess, even some LEGENDS are in situations at times, where the words just dry up. And the eyes may turn a bit numb.
Messi on Instagram : “Rest in peace, @pele” pic.twitter.com/6229T7BO47

Now, you can check out the original posts on their personal profiles. Though personally, I feel it is time to stay away from Social Media for some time and mourn the loss of a legend!! What a player and a global icon!! RIP Pele, you will forever be OUR KING!!
