Arsenal Newsnow: Arsenal Football Club are on a dream spree in the ongoing season of the Premier League. It is their best-ever start in their journey. The Gunners find themselves in a comfortable position after relishing 14 wins out of 17 games so far this season.
Their only defeat came against Manchester United at Old Trafford this season. Apart from that, they have always looked dangerous in counter-attacks and set-pieces. The club’s mastermind, Mikel Arteta has instilled belief and confidence in his teammates.
Their performance in the last season was worth applauding but narrowly missed out on qualifying for the UCL by just one point as their arch-rivals, Tottenham Hotspur pipped them in the finishing stages to seal the UCL spot.

BBC Pundit Garth Crooks reckons Mikel Arteta must have cost Arsenal the win
While many reckon that Arsenal failed to win after they didn’t capitalize on the opportunities, BBC Pundit Garth Crooks thinks otherwise. According to him, Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta himself must have cost the title challengers the win.
The Spaniard didn’t really look calm at all when a couple of decisions went against him as he also ahd a verbal spat with Newcastle manager Eddie Howe. Mikel Arteta was absolutely livid after being denied a penalty.
According to the Pundit, Arteta’s antics at the touchline must have cost Arsenal the win. The pundit further added that had Arteta been calm and composed at the touchline, Arsenal might have churned out a positive result.
“Burn’s challenge on Gabriel in the box caused Arsenal’s manager to blow a fuse when the penalty appeal was denied. I do not know why he does not complain other times. Like, when his team are awarded the occasional disputed penalty,” Garth Crooks wrote in his Team of the Week column
“Mikel Arteta’s hysterics on the touchline are making him look ‘ridiculous’. A cooler head from him in the latter stages of this game might have produced a better result,” he further wrote. Well, football is a funny game at times and this is just something that there is not solution to. Arsenal fans will surely not be pleased with the referee.
