Arsenal Newsnow: Arsenal, a major London team, is reportedly interested in acquiring Belgian forward Eden Hazard from Real Madrid
Arsenal Newsnow: French media outlet Media Foot claims that Arsenal is interested in signing Eden Hazard. After making contact with Real Madrid, the Gunners want to make a signing during the January transfer window. But with Mykhaylo Mudryk closing close to transferring to the Emirates, a deal for the Belgian attacker looks doubtful.
After three and a half years at Real Madrid, the struggling Belgian forward has made just a handful of appearances.
In seven games this season for Real Madrid, Hazard has contributed to just one goal and one assist. The Gunners, though, unexpectedly explored signing the seasoned attacker this month.
Gabriel Jesus’s long-term knee injury has left Mikel Arteta’s offence vulnerable. Even if both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have performed well, Arsenal’s manager does not have any more high-calibre choices to choose from. As of right present, Eddie Nketiah is Arsenal’s sole established striker.
Will Eden Hazard come to the Emirates Stadium?
That means the Gunners need to add an offensive player during the current transfer window. As a result, Mykhaylo Mudryk is now Arsenal’s top transfer target for the month of May. After Chelsea entered the picture, however, the residents of north London were on edge for a few days. That’s when rumours of a January transfer for Hazard began circulating. Furthermore, Arsenal attempted to negotiate a transfer with Real Madrid.

In any case, the latest rumours have Mudryk signing with Arsenal this month. And with that, the Gunners’ relationship with Hazard, at 32, is officially over. His predicament at Real Madrid isn’t going to be better any time soon. And thanks to ties with Inter Milan, salvation may be on the way from Italy.

To what extent, if any, clubs make offers for the Belgian attacker’s services remains to be seen. Since Arsenal is expected to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk this month, it’s unlikely that the Real Madrid misfit will be moving there.
When it came to acquiring Mykhaylo Mudryk from Arsenal, Chelsea was supposed to give “strong competition” and perhaps “out-bid” the Gunners. Getting rid of Graham Potter at Chelsea would certainly (not) be a catastrophe for English managers, but how likely is it?
