Arsenal Transfer News: Norwich City is close to completing a transfer for Arsenal’s young star Marquinhos. Ryan Taylor claims that David Wagner’s squad is closing in on a loan deal to sign the 19-year-old till the end of the season. The youngster will join the Championship club on loan as they attempt to return to the Premier League. It’s safe to say that youthful Marquinhos will be an asset to Norwich City. They are presently sixth in England’s second division.

Arsenal has granted the go-ahead for the Brazilian adolescent Mikel Arteta to have a physical in East Anglia. With any luck, the transaction will close in the next twenty-four. Marquinhos moved to Arsenal from Sao Paulo in the summer for £3.5 million. But, lack of game time has irritated the Brazillian. The 19-year-old has only played in six games across all competitions. But he has already contributed to two goals.

Arsenal Transfer News: What’s the matter?

The Arsenal winger has made five appearances for the U21s. Manager Arteta, though, is keen for the adolescent to get senior-level experience. Wingers Bukayo Saka and Martinelli have been in fantastic form. With Leandro Trossard’s arrival in January providing playing time to youthful Marquinhos appeared improbable. Recently, the London club paid £26 million to get Leandro Trossard from Brighton to play for them.

There were rumours that Arsenal planned to loan out Marquinhos this month. But before letting the young star go, they wanted to sign a new forward. The transfer to Carrow Road will provide the young player with the exposure he needs. He might be a factor at the start of the next campaign.

Arsenal had intended to loan away Marquinhos after signing him last summer. Although Arteta might have released him, he chooses to keep him in order to help him adjust to life in North London. It will be fascinating to observe the teen’s influence at Carrow Road and how much time he gets in the starting lineup for Norwich.

The 19-year-old winger will go to Carrow Road within the next 24 hours with the intention of assisting the Championship club to achieve a spot in the playoffs. He has made six appearances for the Gunners since joining them from Sao Paulo in the summer.

Marquinhos is leaving

When Marquinhos first came to London, he was hailed as “one for the future.” Speculation arose that the Gunners would quickly loan him out. A strong preseason, Arsenal’s aborted pursuit of Raphinha, and Reiss Nelson’s premature injury all contributed to the club’s decision to retain him on the roster.

That choice was vindicated when he scored and assisted in his first game for the club, a 2-1 Europa League victory against FC Zurich. Afterward, Arteta said, “He has gained the respect and adoration of everyone here.” Since then, the Brazilian’s playing time has steadily declined. He has now played for just 8 minutes since mid-October. A loan transfer now makes perfect sense after signing Leandro Trossard from Brighton.
