“Arsenal The Clear Favourites” – Arsenal And Chelsea Prepare To Get The Star For £75m-£80m

"Arsenal The Clear Favourites" - Arsenal And Chelsea Prepare To Get The Star For £75m-£80m

Arsenal Transfer News: Despite David Moyes’s earlier valuation of Declan Rice at £100 million, several clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, are now optimistic that they can recruit him for £75 million to £80 million

Arsenal Transfer News: Both Arsenal and Chelsea, according to Ben Jacobs of Give Me Sport, would be willing to pay £75–80 million to get Declan Rice. Compared to the numbers West Ham manager David Moyes mentioned before, these costs are far more reasonable. The Scotsman believed that the fee needed to recruit the midfielder would exceed the existing British record.

As the summer transfer window opens, Mikel Arteta will prioritize high-quality additions. The Arsenal manager has spent heavily over the last two years. He is only interested in adding players who can help his present squads. Declan Rice is one such player.

The West Ham midfielder spent his formative years playing for Chelsea. They have been long been rumoured to be interested in acquiring his services. The Blues are still interested in the 24-year-old midfielder. But their inability to reach the Champions League will hurt their chances of signing him.

The Blues may try to persuade Rice that he will have a long and prosperous career if he returns to his former stomping grounds, but the midfielder has a different opinion. There may be some truth to the common media assertion that Arsenal is still the favourite.

Arsenal Transfer News: What’s the matter?

The Gunners believe they can get the services of the 24-year-old midfielder at the lowest possible cost. Even though Arteta thinks he poses a threat to Thomas Partey’s starting spot, he also thinks the two might complement each other well in his system. Including Rice in Arsenal’s lineup would make the Premier League leaders even more formidable on paper.

The deal may be impacted, though, by the price tag reportedly mentioned by West Ham manager David Moyes. The Scotsman said that the transfer fee for Rice would be far more than the existing British record transfer fee paid by Chelsea for Enzo Fernandez. The Hammers have been said to be asking for much to £150 million.

Yet, reporter Ben Jacobs said that £75-80 million would be enough to buy Rice on the present market. At that price, he claimed, not the astronomical one the media had assigned him, Arsenal and Chelsea could sign him.

Who will get Declan Rice? – The Gunners or Chelsea?

Jacobs said, “I think that suitors like Arsenal and Chelsea, who may even be in the race as well, are quietly confident that they can get a player like Declan Rice for something between £75m and £80m, which sounds like a lot of money. But I think Arsenal see that as value. And I think that summarises how they’ll act in the summer generally.

It’s not about how much they spend because they will have that financial muscle. It’s about finding value in the market and that’s always been Arsenal’s model. I don’t expect that to change regardless of winning the Champions League or the Premier League. They’ve never wanted to put it out there in the market that they’re prepared to spend wildly above the odds, even on a player that they so desperately want.”

It’s hard to imagine a better football team for Rice to play for next season than Arsenal. His move to the Gunners will provide him with the opportunity to participate in the Champions League and win the most prestigious titles. Despite Chelsea’s best efforts, the 24-year-old still wants to play in the Champions League.

If Chelsea had the means to compete, they would, and Rice may have joined them in Europe had they gone there. There is speculation that Arsenal is the frontrunner to sign the midfielder.
