“I Am Leaving Liverpool”, Liverpool Star Player Set To Leave Anfield In The Summer

Liverpool Newsnow: When Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo’s loan from Liverpool to another club finishes this summer, Liverpool has no plans to bring him back

Liverpool Newsnow: Football Insider reports that Premier League powerhouse Liverpool has already decided what to do with loaned midfield talent Arthur Melo for the 2023 summer transfer window.

The Brazilian is spending the rest of the 2022/23 season on loan from Italian powerhouse Juventus. As a late addition due to injury, he wasn’t high on the Merseysiders’ list of priorities. [ Liverpool Newsnow ]

After making only one senior appearance for the club in all competitions, Arthur has been all but forgotten at Anfield. His injury history certainly didn’t help. But his ineffectiveness at Liverpool is still undeniable.

The Reds have the option to make the 26-year-old’s transfer permanent this summer for £33 million, but they likely won’t. Arthur, who is also surplus to requirements at Juventus, will be shopping for a new team as soon as the transfer market opens. [ Liverpool Newsnow ]

Liverpool is also anticipated to be active in the transfer market since the club desperately needs to strengthen its midfield. Several players, including Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister, Mason Mount, and Matheus Nunes, have been connected along with Jude Bellingham, although he is still the primary target.

Arthur’s career has gone off the tracks in the past three years, even though he is just 26 years old. In reality, Barcelona’s shocking 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in 2019 was his lone previous senior outing at Anfield. [ Liverpool Newsnow ]

Arthur is a neat midfielder, but he doesn’t have the drive and dynamism to thrive in Jurgen Klopp’s high-intensity style. It’s easy to understand why Liverpool wouldn’t want to go down that old hole again, even if a transfer to Anfield may give him the push to repair his image.

What’s next for Arthur Melo?

In recent seasons, the Reds have struggled to trade away players who are no longer productive for the team. Naby Keita is the prime illustration of this since he has been the club’s worst failure among Klopp’s high-priced additions. [ Liverpool Newsnow ]

It seems likely that both Arthur and Keita will be departing presumably by next summer. In order to make room for the new players Klopp needs to bring in, he must first get rid of the old ones. Arthur and Liverpool were doomed to fail from the start, and the Brazilian’s luck didn’t improve much after he arrived on Merseyside. He’ll have to go elsewhere for forgiveness.
