"We Want To Get Him Anyhow", Arsenal Is Ready To Pay £53m For The Right-Footed Defender In The Summer

Arsenal Newsnow: According to reports, Arsenal is ready to activate centre-back Robin Le Normand’s £53 million release clause before next season. Le Normand now plays for Real Sociedad. Over the previous three years at the Anoeta Stadium, 26-year-old Le Normand has emerged as a pivotal figure. He has helped Real Sociedad win the Copa del Rey every year. He earnt a promotion from Real Sociedad B in 2019.

The Frenchman is an important cog in his team’s pursuit of a top-four La Liga finish this season. Moreover, he is a right-footed defender and comes up with brilliant tackles and anticipation. Moreover, he’s played a significant role in 33 contests.

Fichajes claims that Arsenal is considering signing Le Normand for the next season. Reportedly a huge fan of the Brest youth product, Mikel Arteta wants to pay his £53 million release clause. Le Normand would give William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes some competition if he were to sign with the Gunners this summer. In a 3–2 defence, he has the potential to become a key contributor in the middle.

He said:  “Arsenal need to bounce back after what happened at Anfield. I can see why their 2-2 draw against Liverpool is viewed as being a good point gained, especially because of Aaron Ramsdale’s brilliant save to deny the Reds at the end – it could have been worse for Mikel Arteta’s side. But I know how I felt as a player when we led 2-0 in games and let it slip, and it will have felt like a defeat.”

He added: “The way the league leaders react is going to be fascinating. The wheels could have come off when they lost to Manchester City in February but they responded with seven successive wins. Nothing less than a win will do for them here either, and I think they will get it. West Ham are still desperate for points so they will give their everything – but the Gunners should be too good for them.”

With 73 points after 30 matches, the Gunners are three points ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League rankings.
