"It Looks Like He Will Be Leaving", AC Milan Comes Out With An Offer For This Arsenal First Team Player

Arsenal Transfer News: According to the Italian publication Calciomercato.com, AC Milan is interested in signing Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson this summer. The 23-year-old Nelson is regarded as one of Arsenal’s most promising prospects. In the club’s 3-1 victory against FC Koln in the UEFA Europa League in September 2017, he made his senior team debut.

The forward has now gone on loan to Germany and the Netherlands, where he played regularly with first-team squads. During his time at Hoffenheim and Feyenoord, he racked up 11 goals and eight assists in 61 total games played across all competitions.

Nelson has been impressive for Arsenal in his limited playing time. He has contributed three goals and two assists in six Premier League games so far this season. He has only played in 500 minutes in all competitions this season, though. Nelson is still on the fringes of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

As a result, it’s unclear whether the Englishman will remain a Gunner beyond the summer. According to the aforementioned information provider, negotiations regarding a new agreement have not been productive so far.

With his future in question at the Emirates, Nelson’s camp is apparently looking for somewhere for the player to play. According to the claim, the attacker’s agents had already brought him to AC Milan.

Arsenal Transfer News: Reiss Nelson on his way out?

The possibility of acquiring Nelson from Arsenal seems to have piqued the interest of the Serie A heavyweights. According to reports, though, they will only seek a deal for the attacker if he is a free agent this summer.

The Croatian international Ante Rebic has been linked with a potential departure from Milan ahead of the 2023 season. Nelson fits the description as a right-sided attacker they can use to replace the 29-year-old. Since the Rossoneri have two open spots for non-EU players, he would have no trouble joining the team.

It’s possible that this is Reiss Nelson’s final year playing for Arsenal. However, he may go for free if the Gunners win the Premier League this season. The team from north London is now first in the league with 75 points after 32 matches.

In their previous three games, Arteta’s team has drawn with Liverpool, West Ham United, and Southampton, all three times failing to win. They’re in danger of falling behind second-place Manchester City presently.

If the Cityzens win their two remaining games in hand, they will pass the Gunners and take over first place. If they win on Wednesday (April 26) at the Etihad, they will close the distance to Arteta and co. by two points.
