Arsenal Is Very Sure To Secure The Signing Of The £100m Transfer Target In The Summer Of 2023 - Check Out The Details

Arsenal are reportedly the frontrunners to sign Declan Rice, according to Football Insider. One of the most sought-after players in the world right now is the 24-year-old West Ham United midfielder. Several of Europe’s best clubs have expressed serious interest in signing him. The Gunners, though, seem to be the clear frontrunners in the hunt for £100 million.

Rice’s formal football education began at Chelsea. But things didn’t work out, so in the summer of 2013, he moved to West Ham. And, he’s worked his way up to the big leagues to become a key cog in their first team’s system.

The England international is now not just their team captain, but also one of their most valuable players. The 24-year-old has played in more than 235 games for the London club. He has contributed to 27 goals.

Rice has played in 43 games thus far this season, contributing to eight goals. He is the backbone of their squad and a top performer in midfield for his club and the league. In the summer of 2024, Rice’s contract with West Ham will expire. However, the Hammers can choose to add another year to their contract.

The West Ham captain, though, is expected to quit the team this summer. Premier League clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea are keen on signing him. The English national team player is wanted by the Hammers, but only at a price of £100 million.

With the futures of both Ilkay Gundoaan and Bernardo Silva unclear, Manchester City is seeking to add depth to their midfield. Conversely, Chelsea is looking to revitalize itself by resigning as a product of its youth system.

West Ham United captain Declan Rice, 24 years old, who is valued at £100 million, is close to signing with Arsenal

However, Arsenal reportedly has the upper hand in the bidding for his services. Before next season, the Gunners want to improve their midfield. Mikel Arteta wants to make another run at the league crown next year. He would want to do it with a stronger roster.

Arsenal will be participating in the Champions League for the first time in a long time. They’ll need a lot more talent to contend for the Premier League and Europa League championships. The Gunners are willing to pay the estimated £100 million asking price. They also provide UCL football as an added bonus. Even the player himself would rather not leave London this summer.

Aston Villa and Arsenal are allegedly interested in signing Ferran Torres from Barcelona this summer. The Barca winger is just 23, and has plenty of skill. He has failed to thrive this season when playing under Xavi.

That potential is on full display in many attacking situations. But his attacking decisions in the final third often leave something to be desired. We don’t know whether that’s due to a lack of understanding or the player’s natural inclinations.
