Booth played his way up through the Bayern Munich system but was never selected for the main squad. The American international only made one appearance for the first squad before deciding to leave the club.
The Bavarians were keen on extending his contract. But he had other plans. Booth, at 21 years old, wanted more playing time and thus transferred to Dutch club Utrecht.
