It has been reported now that the Gunners are closely monitoring the situation of Dominic Solanke at Chelsea. Apparently the U-19 England starlet has not renewed his contract with the Blues yet as he wants a hefty raise in his current wage’s and Chelsea are reluctant to raise it salary from €7000 to €50,000.
Gunners however are in the race to bring him at the Emirates next season as Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of his game.
Dominic has rosen from the Chelsea Youth Academy and has made a good impression on the other premier league clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal. Solanke has won the England Youth Player Of the Year award in 2014 and also has had a successfull loan spells with Dutch club Vitesse.
Newly appointed Chelsea manger Antonio Conte spoke to Dominic regarding his future at the Stamford Bridge but the young gun now prefers too leave for first team football rather than sitting on a bench and waste his talent.
Liverpool too hold a keen interest in the young gun as he fits perfectly in Jurgen Kloop’s style of play, But a few news outlets have claimed that Solanke’s preferable destination might be Arsenal than going to Merseyside.
Chelsea however would let him go for the right price and shifts their heads too long term target Alvaro Moratta as the Spaniard is looking to leave in chance of more first team football too.
Dominic however is demanding a wage given to regular players and that’s something Arsenal wouldn’t agree too, On the other hand transfer negotiations might be tough between to rival clubs as other players wouldn’t want thier talent joining the other but Solanke might go ahead and secure a move to the Red side of London.
Chelsea might let him leave for €8 Million but in compensation as they have certain set of rules are followed while selling academy graduates.
Now if Arsenal or Liverpool want to get the young Englishman then they will have too pay a little too much considering the fact that he wont just walk into the first team.
Dominic Solanke currently plays as a striker but has the ability to operate on either side of the flank which shows his versatility. The youngster is also a good passer of the game and can track back and regain possession too which adds more quality to his game.
Arsenal might invest in a good and garnished talent but they may hesitate to meet his wage demands and let him slip away.
