Football Insider reports that Fabio Carvalho has become a target for Burnley as the club prepares for life in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp has intimated that the 20-year-old Liverpool midfielder should temporarily leave Merseyside to help him improve. Therefore, the player might soon be on the move.
Liverpool snatched up Fabio Carvalho at a bargain price of £5 million. After a promising season with Fulham in the Championship, the 20-year-old made a strong transition to life at Anfield and pleased Jurgen Klopp.
At the beginning of the season, he was a regular starter for Klopp, but after the World Cup break, he has seen very little action. Liverpool’s 20-year-old midfielder has made 22 total appearances, eight of which have been starts, and has scored three times.
Most notably, the game-winning goal came in the last seconds of regulation time against Newcastle United at home. Although Klopp is confident in his future with the club, Klopp acknowledges that the 20-year-old Liverpool midfielder may benefit from playing more often.
Burnley reportedly wants to sign Carvalho on loan from Liverpool, which would be amenable to sending the 20-year-old to the Premier League club. Under the wing of their soaring Belgian manager, Vincent Kompany, the Clarets returned to the Premier League in record time.
The ex-Manchester City player is eager to capitalize on his success and has turned down offers from other elite teams. He will probably be around for the Clarets’ return to the Premier League, where he can be of great use. Kompany has a laundry list of demands, which might include new players for the midfield and up front.
Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho, who is just 20 years old, is attracting interest from Burnley, and his loan transfer there has been approved by Jurgen Klopp
Their list is still growing, but Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is one of their top targets. For his part, Kompany likely sees Carvalho as a key cog in the last third. The 20-year-old Liverpool player has a natural position as an attacking midfielder, but the Belgian coach may decide to convert him to the striker position.

Carvalho’s tactical and role diversification will benefit from a loan at Burnley. Given the depth of Liverpool’s roster, he may feel less pressure to perform at Burnley than he did at Liverpool. In the next few weeks, the Clarets might initiate discussions with the Merseysiders and perhaps persuade the player to transfer.
