Renowned Journalist Provides More Details On The Declan Rice Deal; Arsenal Fans Are Unhappy!?

Arsenal Face One Big Problem Regarding Declan Rice Signing

The Declan Rice to Arsenal deal seems to be all but done. There are just a few minute pieces of the puzzle that need to fit in now. And the fans know that it is a deal completed, with the likes of Fabrizio Romano confirming the same. Even journalists like David Ornstein have been following this deal, rather closely. And so, it’s surely done!!

Recently, the latter put out an update on the Declan Rice deal. It was crucial information about why the deal was eventually happening, after the Hammers rejected a couple of offers for the player previously. And the fans had a mixed reaction to it!!

Below Is The Tweet About The Declan Rice Deal That David Ornstein Put Out!!

The Tweet suggested that Arsenal would pay West Ham a total fee of £100m in 3 installments. Further, there would be more add-ons and a medical and personal terms would have to be agreed still.

Further, more details about the Declan Rice deal are mentioned below!!

With Manchester City dropping out of the race to sign the player, it was the Gunners that had the advantage. They were the main club negotiating with the player and West Ham. There was no real competition in this transfer saga.

However, it seems that the North Londoners had to agree to their domestic rivals terms. They were keen on signing the West Ham skipper and had to do it their way. It is not always how Arsenal likes to do their business. But the player was crucial to their plans. And so the signing was eventually made.

What Next For The Gunners Post The Signing Of The West Ham Skipper!?

The Londoners have agreed a deal for Declan Rice. Post that, this has led to the exit of Granit Xhaka from the Emirates. The former Arsenal skipper decided to leave the club on a high. He will now be moving to Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen, as per the recent reports.

The fans have had a mixed reaction to his exit. He has not been Arsenal’s best player over the years. But yes, he has been on their fittest. And his new role under Arteta made him a great asset to the team. But he is now leaving, despite having his best season at the club.

It is a paradox. The fans don’t know what to make of it. But they have to accept the decision of the Swiss international, whether they like it or not. And good wishes have started pouring in for his future since the announcement was made. Fans have forgiven and forgotten and moved on now.

This is just how football must be. Players should be given the opportunity to redeem themselves if they make a mistake. Everyone should have that chance. And though Arsenal fans are really glad to have Declan Rice now, they are also thankful for Granit Xhaka’s contribution to the team over the years.
