Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has now given his verdict on a young midfield star. Amongst the Gunners’ interest in signing more top players, the ex-midfielder himself, has now given his verdict on one of the more younger players from the club’s squad. And the fans possibly agree with his claim as well.

The Londoners have been looking to add more strength to their squad in the current transfer window. They have spent so much money already. And are still looking to add more stars in the days to come. And with that being said, Ray Parlour has some inputs to give as well.

The midfielder that Ray Parlour was talking about is Ethan Nwaneri. The 16-year-old starlet just signed a scholarship deal with the club. And he will turn professional with Arsenal when he turns 17. This is something that every young player aims for. And the Londoners have given him what he wants, as of now.

However, Ray Parlour feels that there is more to Ethan Nwaneri’s role, than just being in the academy. He feels that the youngster will be part of the first-team next season. Further, he also believes that he will have a key part to play.

What Next For The Gunners; Will This Prediction Actually Come True!?

It will not be Mikel Arteta and co. to accommodate the 16-year-old youngster. They might be able to play him in the League Cup for sure. However, apart from that, it will not be possible for them to play him regular. He may just be there to grow and develop into a better player.

Arsenal is looking to add a few more midfielders at present. This is, if Thomas Partey does leave. Granit Xhaka has already left the club after the arrival of Declan Rice. So, the squad depth will still be a concern for the team as of now.

Plus, the likes of Sambi Lokonga and Miguel Azeez could be returning to the squad. Though Charlie Patino has been linked with a move away, it remains to be seen if that happens or not. For now, there is a slight midfield deficit, despite the arrival of Kai Havertz as well.
