Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested on buying the Bournemouth right back Adam Smith. Talking about the return of Smith to his former club, Smith has denied to answer anything in particular but just admitted the fact as a rumor and as a Bournemouth player it is his duty to play for the side regardless of any such rumors. He also told the media that he would like to continue playing for Bournemouth next season.
Smith has been very good in the Bournemouth defence and has contributed a lot for the club. His physical presence and great appetite for the game is making him better every week. Smith has started 34 matches for Bournemouth this season and is one of the most important players of the club.
Not only Spurs, but also the League champions Chelsea are interested to lure the defender as it is Victor Moses who plays in the right back position for the Blues and Antonio Conte would like to strengthen his defence.
However after Smith’s comments in the media, it is looking unlikely that he would leave Bournemouth despite interest from the giant clubs. Bournemouth’s unity among players is a real issue of their staying up in the top flight for years and their manager Eddie Howe deserves to be a Premier League manager.
The team chemistry is superb which is going to help the Cherries in the coming seasons. Therefore it is unlikely for Bournemouth to sell Smith as he is indispensable to the club but they might consider a lucrative offer which might help the club financially.
